I am totally and utterly depressed *Update 4/4/10*

Hello everyone! I know I have MIA for some time, but a lot has been going on. I have not posted since February 1st, because I was laid off from my job. And a week after that, I left my husband. Nothing has changed and I dont think it ever will. I am in a goo dplace right now and I am actually going to Disney in 4 weeks!!! My parents, myself and my DD, and my sister and her son are all going to stay for a week! I am so excited about it! Thank you all who supported me, even when I wasnt around to check this post I made. I am going to start a PTR and I hope you all will read!

Glad you are doing well. I'm sure you had a terribly hard time deciding to leave your husband but you did what you had to. Your daughter is so precious & she will be better off in a calm, happy home.

I cannot tell you how happy I am to read your update.

My ex is bi polar also, and I, too, had to choose to leave him to protect my child. It is our JOB.

I could've stayed, sure, and have a child brought up by a emotionally and unstable person and me.... or by me, a person who would lay down and die for him. I chose me. I know he needed a dad, but he didn't need one who was verbally and emotionally abusive, and could be, as I found out later, PHYSICALLY abusive.

If anything happened to my son, all those same people who thought I should've stayed and supported him, would've blamed ME for not protecting him. I could not take that chance.

Have peace in your decision. In the long run you will be shown how it was the right one. My son is a 17yo God fearing, good child, with no doubts in his soul as to who loves him. He KNOWS what I've had to sacrifice to give him the life he deserves, and believe me, I reap the blessings for that now.
