I am thinking about moving my dates in Sept. Better time to go?

I have reservations in Sept and my DH needs me to move dates from Sun to Sat instead of Wed to Tues.

We were talking and he is now worried that it will be a downpour all the time we are there if we go in September. Is there a better time of the month to avoid rain? Can you tell us what it is like there, if it is rain all day and ruin his trip or does it rain in spurts. He is expecting downpours the entire time.

We went last September and only got caught once with rain that lasted about 1/2 hour. Buy a dollar store poncho just in case and go and have fun!!

We always go in September and usually do not have any problem with rain. It may shower in the afternoon (typical Florida) but then in stops. I don't think we have ever encountered a full day of rain. Enjoy

I have not been to Florida in september in a while, but I remeber when I use to go as a kid it would rain for a few mins.....maybe half hour but nothing to ruin the day

Rain in September (towards the end of our rainy season usually starts between 2-4 in the afternoon and last between half an hour to an hour. Plan on carrying ponchos with you to the parks. And as you plan for touring plan on doing some inside things in the afternoon so you won't even have to worry about it. Everything usuually dries up about an hour after the rain.

I'm agreeing with the other posters. Been to Disney World over 40 times and we've rarely had all day rains. Last one I can remember was Christmas Day a few years ago. September isn't bad if you dodge the hurricanes (maybe you should mention that to your husband) and can live with the love bugs (harmless but plentiful). I love going in September. Our next trip is the last weekend of that month. And if it does rain, we don't care. Just put on those ponchos and have a great time!
