I am soooo in trouble!

So, first it started with the YMCA we are members of. They had a Harvest Festival last Sat and the crazy people at the desk told me there would be probably close to 300 kids there. Uhhh, try maybe 100. And that is being generous. So, now we have Halloween night. It is stinking cold here. Last year we had at least 300 kids if not even more. I gave up counting after 225 and that was only at a bit after 7:00. So far this year we are very minimal. Note the fact that I have time to post on the DIS. Last year I was up and down up and down to the point where I just stayed at the door a lot of times. We are talking groups of over 20 kids at a time when you opened the door.

So, why am I in trouble??? Because I have like 700 pieces of candy!!! Man--I have been giving away two at a time and we still have a ton. We generally turn our light off at 8:00. I have 55 min to go......

Well, I kept the light on late and started handing out a handful of candy to each kid. They were thrilled and we don't have quite so many leftovers. DH is taking a lot to the guys at work. That will get rid of it in moments flat!

We had two bigger kids come around 830, I took one of the bowls and just dumped it over into each of their bags...there must have been 50 pieces of candy each going in their bags!

we just moved into our new house in a brand new sub division and I had no idea what to expect. I bought 3 big bags of candy from Costco. It's 7:45 now and I had maybe 100 kids. I have been giving the candy out by the handful, and "rewarding" myself with some chocolate everytime I go answer the door, and I STILL have tons and tons left!

I've been dumping that poison by the bowl full in kids' bags.

We have a lot left over as well. And, when you combine what I have left with what my kids brought home- its a weight watchers nightmare!
