I am so upset. Someone threatened to hit my husband at the Soarin line and Disney did nothing

The for the clarifications OP. Sorry for the questions and I feel terrible that this guy was just let go. I was just trying to understand the situation fully. Disney definitely should have done something at least asking the guy to leave.

Food and Wine hasn't started but this kind of stuff gets even worse at EPCOT during that time. I've seen full out brawls that end befor security gets there and then there is nothing that can be done. No matter how many witnesses they just let them go for whatever reason.

Disney let's them go because Disney doesn't want to be SUED. Bottom line.

Wow after getting more information from the OP I'm shocked people are blaming her husband.

Even if her husband had said "hey buddy there's a line." It doesn't give anyone the right to get aggressive especially to the point that another guest thought he may have to step in. At first I thought it could have been a misunderstanding that caused all this but now it seems like it was someone trying to shove through the line and someone said something. Worst thing that should have happened was the skipper saying something nasty back not getting physical at all.

This may be my last post on this board. The "behavior" on this thread mimics the behavior we see in the parks. It is not ok to physically confront anyone no matter what was said. I've read here (6 pages) the attacks on the OP that posted. Good grief...what the heck is wrong here? Have some sympathy/empathy for what happened regardless of what YOU think MAY have happened. You were not there, did not have to deal with the problem. DONE!

I don't think there is any "behavior" on the board. It is people giving their "opinions" on what happened. Just because you don't agree with some of them, doesn't mean people don't have the right to agree/disagree with the happenings of the situation.

I can't imagine why someone would successfully win a lawsuit because they got kicked out of a theme park for fighting when there were more than enough witnesses.

Yes and most situations are "he said, she said". If Disney got involved in every confrontation and started throwing people out of the park, it would definitely lead to charges filed both ways. People sue ALL the time for every little thing.

Sounds a whole lot like the OP and her husband have a habit of becoming "victims" and then getting free stuff out of it. Sounds like this payday didn't quite pan out as planned? It's awfully convenient that the OP had a list of "things" that management could give them to make them feel better. What a bunch of ridiculous, over the top requests! Letting them go backstage at an attraction? Free tours? Upgraded room for a night? Are you freaking kidding me???

OP, if Disney HAD given into one of your over the top requests, would you still have created this post?

Not to excuse the guys behavior but it really was not your buisness to say anything to him. Why should he have to explain anything to you? If you had a problem with him jumping lines then tell a CM.

My (then 3 year old) had to go to the bathroom when we were standing in a LONG line for Toy Storey. People like you wouldn't let him and my husband back through to where my girls and I were waiting. It's ridiculus.

That's a pretty ridiculous assumption to make.

The absolute "Disney can do no wrong" attitude on here gets old. This situation sucked. I feel awful for the op and her husband, and anyone in line who saw this. I also feel awful for the cast members who are forced to deal with something that they should not have to in regards to violent guests, which seems to happen more and more frequently. I, too, don't know what Disney could do. Maybe ban the guy??? I mean, they banned a guy for making a joke about making a meth lab in his room which was clearly a joke. But threatening and intimidating a family who is just trying to enjoy their vacation gets free reign.... Not sure the logic there.... Anyway, sorry OP. I hate when other people invade what should be only good memories. Hopefully the rest of the vacation was a little more magical.

Really, from this one situation you now believe the OP and her family always play victim just to get stuff? Are you a mentalist? O.O
