ok you need to chill.. this happens to the best of us.. I once did a quest with all sorts of rare quest prizes, but the onlt people who came were guests and stuff so i pretty much lost rare without having many people show up.. but oh well.. you just have to accept it

Okay, you need to listen to this:
1: You have got to chill. I never get anyone in my rooms.
2: Please stop with not typing right. Then the person reading your post gets really confused.

Yeah it happens to me also, I make a lot of rooms/games and so far the only one that was popular was the Signature Awards.

I did get to see your room! And it was very cool. The only problem I could see was that you needed 10 guests before the game could start. At least four or five times, there were six people ready to play, but I, (for one) kept DC'ing and others would be there and then "disappear" I assume DC, because we had to wait so long. The game was never able to get started. I thought you and the other host there that day (this was a few days ago) were SO NICE and I really wanted to try your game - I am sorry you are discouraged - maybe you could retool it so fewer players would be needed until the room gets more popular? Just a suggestion!

I tried doing a version of Hollywood squares once...you needed 9 people on the tic-tac-toe board and then two players plus me, the host. It was like herding cats trying to get people to sit, stay in the same seat, not leave, etc. The best games are simple and do not require too many people to play or too long before you get to play.

chill out,

i just found out i have 3 new down town disneys

that really runes my day.

3 ppl copied..

Just a reminder that there is a thread for rooms that are in need of a little publicity. It's called the Dis VMK Rooms Directory. It's my thread and I've been looking for anyone who wants people to come in.

In addition to that, it's a great place to look to get out of the rut and try something new. Soon it will all be linked together as well as linked to the Special Rooms Lobby in the Dis Teleporter Network for easy access.

Dis people also usually get to be special guests in rooms. For example, the VMK Tron Cafe. Dis members say the secret code and then they get a free meal for them plus access to the Restricted Tron Section, even without the normally required Tron uniform!

It takes a lot of work to get a game room off and running. I've had games that weren't visited at all. Here's what I do when I'm running a game or a quest:

1. I post on the DIS to let everyone here know what's going on. Lot's of DIS folks will see it, and come just to support another DIS person.

2. When I open the game, I send messages in the game to some of my friends. Don't just send out "Come here" in your message--that just annoys many players. I usually write, "My new game is open tonight. Please come check it out if you want." If you're polite about it, most friends will stop by to check it out.

3. The games always start off slow. I usually ask some of my friends to hang out in the room so that the room gets near the top of the popular list. Once the room hits three Mickey heads, people usually find it on their own.

I didn't see you game last night, but if you are waiting for 10 people before starting, that could take a while. It's all right to wait a couple of minutes, but if you have people waiting more than three or four minutes, they are going to get mad and just leave. Be prepared to start your game with fewer players sometimes.

Hope that helps you :)
