I am so frustratated with school tonight. The class I need this summer may not be taught and I can't take my last 3 classes until I take that one. They can't find a teacher for it. Maybe we can get it at another campus but that is not sure since we need at least 15 students.
Then I get accused of killing the curve in the class by this one guy but he wants to borrow my notes because he didn't get it tonight. Give me a break. Take your own darn notes. And he wants to cozy up to me and he stinks of cigarette smoke. Yuck! I wouldn't even want him as an interpreter the way he smells.

I can remember something similar happening to me when I was an undergraduate. I was taking accounting classes and some classes were only offered once a year. If you got out of sync, it could cost you a whole year. I hope it works out!

I know this is frustrating for you. I hope you can get the classes you need.

Is there any way you could take the class as a directed study and have it count. I would talk with the dean who heads the department and see if there is another professor who might be willing to take it on as a directed study since their would not be set class times and it would only be one student.

Do you know of any other students who need that class for the sequence, if so, you all might want to talk with the Dean to see if s/he can find out if another campus will offer it if he can guarantee X number of students registering for it (of course that would depend on how well your deans from different campuses get along).

How frustrating. It's a shame you couldn't take the class online.

Zurg thatk you for the pixie dust.
My dear husband has said he will drive me anywhere within 100 miles to get the class this summer so we will see. I told he might have to drive me to Orlando once a week if I can find it up there and my director will accept it. Hmmm! WDW once a week. Not such a bad idea.

I'm checking out Boward CC and we are trying to get it at Kendall campus. There is a teacher there that can teach it and our dean will accept it as they use they same text. Another option might be VCC if they are giving it over the summer.
We are using Signing Naturally Level 2 (second half)
Problem is the teacher who normally teaaches it wants to take the summer off. And the dean could teach it with another teacher replacing her for the second half but feels it is to much to ask Jeff to do for the summer since she has conned him into teaching lingusitics for the entire summer. He's already doing ASL 2. But if that doesn't fly maybe he can do ASL 4
So everyone keep there fingers crossed/

What class do you need. If is is a sign language one, I can tell you Valencia does not offer many of them in the summer and the ones usually offered are 1 & 2.

(also, I sent you a PM)

It's ASL 4. But all your pixie dust is working. I just got an email from the professor and it will be given at my campus this summer and she will be teaching it. So I will get my class. I am so happy.
Then in the fall I can take voice to sign and spring sign to voice or vice versa.

LOL, good!

I'm glad it's working out. :)

Just checked my schedule and I am registered for both classes I need. YES! Now to pay my tuition and I am set to go. Classes start May 12.
