I Am Scared of the Knot!

I don't think I would EVER venture over there after things I have read on the boards. I always find the help I need that is specific to Disney Brides on the Dis!!

I don't really use the boards there, though I do like the website for some of the resources. So that's what I would suggest!

Project Wedding is a really awesome site, as someone mentioned, especially if you're going to be doing a lot of DIY.

I agree... they are super mean and very bridezilla. I like some of the planning tools, like the guest list dashboard and making seating chart. Thats about it. I havent found any inspiration or anything really otherwise from the knot. And every month their magazine is either only about gowns or etiquette. Got that covered!

I am trying very hard to have a David's Bridal and a Knot free wedding.

So far so good

I found much better venues for help and questions on smaller, more personable sites.

I tried dresses on at David's Bridal and they put me in things I wasn't even interested in and that just looked terrible. It was not a personal experience at all - my mom had to sit behind a group of 10 people to see me. The only thing I will go to David's Bridal for is the bridesmaids' dresses, there's a lot to choose from.

My wedding wont' be Disney related at all (fiance isn't sold on Disney yet) so while I come here for ideas, I post on Weddingbee They are GREAT there!!!! Very nice, welcoming and helpful..... so if you guys are looking for a SECOND board to post on.... there ya go!

I don't really use the Knot either. I do enjoy Wedding Bee although I have just recently started posting there, but I lurked there for a long time.

I just got on my knot app to check for ideas and came across a lot of rude and racist comments from other brides. I am so disgusted I finally deleted it! Thank god I found these boards!

I don't like the Knot either. It feels very cluttered and disorganized to me but I also don't go to Weddingbee after reading about some other DIS board member's experience there and knowing there's a political/religious disconnect there from my own personal feelings.

So this is it for me.
