I'm really tired of people blindly believing that for the first time in history, fire brought down steel and concrete buildings in their own footprint, including a 47 story building that wasn't hit by a plane.

ETA: I don't think 'Bush did it'. I do think the official story is bunk.

So, what do you think happened that day?

There are (were) people who believed that FDR and his "people" were behind the attack on Pearl Harbor....

They say that he wanted to enter WW2 for quite a while, but there was no support from the people, so he coordinated the attack on Pearl Harbor to get the "support" they would need to enter the war...

I had never heard of that until I lived in Hawaii and visited that museum at Ft. DeRussy, there was a section about it....

The attack on USS Maddox and USS Turner Joy was so much cheaper and, no loss of lives.

I applaud your skepticism, however what has your research revealed to be the more likely scenario? I am genuinely interested as I am a skeptic myself. Having said that I have done some of my own research and concluded that as other theories are indeed possible the probability is infinitesimal for one of these alternate scenarios. After all when one thinks about it logically what would the US Government have to gain from the "Controlled Demolition hypothesis"? You should read the report published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology which outlines the events that resulted in the collapse. I understand that the 9/11 Truth Movement as an entity do present some valid points however others have been easily disproved by investigations by qualified individuals, groups and organizations such as the NIST.

FYI - My personal pet peeve is this number being incorrect. There were at least 12 million people put to death under Hitler with between 2-3 million being unaccounted for on top of this number.

Not to get too off-topic, but that's really only half right. Granted it's all revisionist history... but you're right that FDR felt we needed to help the Allies in WWII or Nazi Germany would prevail. However, like you said, the general opinion of the U.S. citizens was to mind our own business after experiencing WWI. FDR didn't coordinate the attack on Pearl Harbor, but U.S. intelligence knew that Japan was getting ready to wage war on the U.S. Unfortunately, they just thought it would be at a U.S. base that was closer to Japan like in the Philippines or at Midway. No one thought Japan would strike as far Pearl Harbor. So while a lot of the U.S. military bases in the Pacific closer to Japan were on alert, Pearl Harbor was not. And unfortunately, we know how that turned out. And yes, FDR knew an attack by the Japanese would rally Americans to support entering WWII.

I would be interested in reading the study compiled that suggests such a large number as 12 Million, as that is almost double every single number that has been theorized by every other study that I have read. For example I believe it was "The Technical University of Berlin" who conducted a study that revealed a theory of somewhere between 5 Million and 7 Million victims. I am in no way arguing with you I would just be extremely interested to read the study in which you gathered your data from. I would be particularly interested to see if said study included other Concentration Camp victims such as "allied" POW's, Nazi armed forces deserters, and other non Concentration Camp related deaths. Including the 2-3 Million unaccounted that you state that would be 15 Million people which would double the horror of it all.

I've read a lot on the subject over the years. My knowledge is not from an internet source so no handy link available - sorry! I think you are confusing the number of Jews executed with the total number. Six million Jews died in the camps. They were equal in number to the total of others executed (this included, political prisoners, POWS, gypsies, Catholics, clergy, handicapped, and generally undesirable people by Hitler's standards.) There are also approximately 2-3 million people who have not been accounted for. It is a truly horrific number.

Well from where I was standing that day, and the things I saw and heard, it went down just like the reports say it did. The fallout from the collapse and the fires is what took out the other buildings, including your 47 story building you mention. BTW, they all didn't come down in one day. Many of the smaller building fell within days after, but I guess you couldn't have had a clear view on TV, huh? Walk through it, breathe it, live it, then tell me about the other theories.

FWIW, Elvis, Jimmy Hendrix, and Jim Morrison are all dead; and the Yeti only exists on EE, just in case anyone was wondering.

There were no terrorists.....blah, blah, blah.....it's been going on for almost an hour this morning (and happens frequently). How they saw this on TV or the news, yada yada yada. If I didn't have to answer the phone I'd bring in some ear phones.

Yup, they are 'out there' and have been from the beginning. There have always been people on the fringe believing all sorts of funky theories. Let them. They find their meaning in all of that, but I don't have time for it. There is more to life than proving silly unsubstantiated theories, so much more.
