I am really FREAKING out about Palos

I don't like making this situation more stressful, but I would suggest NOT missing tropical night at Parrot Cay (if you've never done it before.) There is a waiter (he was our server:D ) who dons a wig and walks on his hands during the 'show.' The entire staff comes out and each server goes to his/her table and encourages the children (and adults!) to get up and dance around the dining room while all singing 'hot hot hot!" It's one of the most memorable dining nights. There is also a 'limbo' dance. I'd miss the second night at AP before missing Parrot Cay.:D

That being said, after looking at Palo's menu and then all the other menus for the week, I didn't want to miss any night at the other restaurants, so I'm skipping Palo's dinner but DEFINITELY am doing Palo's brunch

My wife and I have done 4 cruises and agree with you about the dining rotations. We enjoy not only the meals but our table companions as well.

We did the brunch and really like it so we will do it again on our next cruise in January.

Darren, on the Eastern, July 10-17, formal night was Sunday and Semi-formal was Thursday.

Mickeyhugger, you are right about how much fun Tropical night was. I forgot about the dancing around the tables and the limbo. I was speaking only from a food quality point of view. I should have specified that when answering the question.

I agree with Brack, brunch would probably be a better option.

Word of warning: Jackets are not recommended for dinner at Palo, they are required. Two members of our party had button-down oxford shirts with ties but no jackets and they were both refused.

They are both writing "strongly worded letters" to Disney Cruise Lines. As the wording on the Navigator states: "Suggested Palo Dinner Attire: Jacket Recommended."

REAS is the Romantic Escape at Sea package. It includes a couples massage or spa tester (massage and facial), Palo dinner, a gift basket with Champagne, chocolates, a pic frame, also a champagne breakfast in bed. It allows you to book Palo dinner, brunch and high tea before arriving on the ship. You also schedule the Spa treatment before leaving home. Also on the night of going to Palo you get a romantic turndown.

We booked it for our cruise next year. To me it's worth it to book everything before hand. I would worry to much about trying to get on board to book the Palo things and spa thing. Now I don't have to worry at all.

Also, in regards to the REAS package...if I am not mistaken, it just went up to $339 (from $299). You have to book it as an add-on and you can do that anytime, when you book your cruise or later on.

Someone mentioned you can go to Palo's any night in the bar for drinks and dessert. Do you have to pay the sitting fee if you do that?

The Chocolate Souffle is to die for and we might die if we eat it every night, but we just might!
