GETTING READY FOR ANOTHER HURRICANE!! I am SOOOO SICK of this already!

I know exactly what you mean! Hubby and I were able to sneak in a day at WDW yesterday, but came home and had to get ready for Jeanne. I don't know about you, but I don't remember a hurricane season as bad as this one. I'm from the Jacksonville area and we're expecting a mess!

Hoping that the storm runs out of steam somewhere over water where it will not do more damage and that this is the end of the bad weather, especially for you Floridians.

We are headed back in a couple of weeks and even if we were not I would wish such. (smile)

We didn't take down most of our shutters just the 2 on the front of the house so we're set(well...I need to replenish the beer supply!). I just hope the electric transformers do better than they did with Frances. We didn't have power for almost a week although I shouldn't complain...we got off VERY easy compared to most.

I'm right there with you Faith, but of course we just took down the wood last week so guess were putting them back up today. I'm sitting here waiting for the hospital to call me in for the during AGAIN!!! Spent 2+ days there during Frances, sure hope I'm outa there by Sun. sometime. For the most part we have no windows in my dept so the walls kinda close in on you after a while........

So sorry Faith. This has to be taking an emotional toll. Thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone in Florida. I have relatives who are still recovering from Frances. It's hard to imagine what it must feel like to experience this year in Florida. I

Thanks for the best wishes, I just got home from work about 12:00 and it was VERY BUSY to say the least! I think everyone ate up all thier supplies from the other storms, and had to buy new! Well, we are ALL BOARDED UP AGAIN, DH only had to put up 3 windows here, the rest are still shuttered up! YES, Dan I played the Lotto, and if I win I will move to CHICAGO!!!

This reminded me of a guy we saw at the grocery store yesterday. His cart was full of bottled water, nachos, and beer! It's important to stock up on the necessities!

Hey Poohbear123 how is it where you are?? Its getting majorly nasty here in Broward. Dh says near hurricane force wind gusts out there. I absolutely hate the sound. We have lost power once but thankfully it came back on. Poor little one freaked out when it went off. Im keeping candles burning so that if the power does go out again it wont be totally dark.

lvs_eeyore, just raining in gusts, and wind. Tempature has dropped to about 74 degrees. I HOPE I win the lottery tonight! Than I can build me a house with a "hurricane safe room" in it!
