I am just pooped from all the planning.Wow so much to do, I am running out of time. Another trip to Wal-Mart, now a return trip needed for a broken camera (just bought it) go figure my luck. Ok not one but two 17 year old girls. One in a padgent this weekend. Then off early Sunday morning to look at yet another college and a long road trip. A meeting with the principal today to cover the upcoming missed school days. No problem there.

Mom, I need more socks, more short's, etc. after going over all of this with them. Well here it is, they both drive, here is the money go to Wal-Mart and get what you need. Ugh.... does 17 still qualify for the kid swap. You know where you exchange them for other kids. at the end of the day you get your child back, or if the parent does not show, well ya'll know. They take them over to It's A Small World" staple them to the floor and they sing that famous song........LOL!

Luv em' to death. :p I just need a break. Here is my plan, I told dh this week coming, I am going to take off all by myself and go see the new Santa Claus 2 movie. Then I will start the big packing....

Disney World beware, here comes Lauren Brooke & Kristen Leigh, the world will never be the same!! I need a vacation from this vacation and I'm not there yet....

lol...well you are not alone...we have 4..15,12,5,3...we go to wdw alot and living so close it does not make a diff...we come home from 1-2-3 day trips and we have to go to school / work ect..then the kids complain about this and that..it is never enough but we just chug along and say ok!!!!...loved your story and hang in there!!!

P.S. we have pap's and go to wdw about 2 times a month

I'll meet you @ the Polynesian on the 27th and we can rest by the pool together.

I've planned, replanned, planned over and planned again... and I'm getting my things ready to pack now! I'm lucky, I only have one daughter, but there is still not enough hours in the day!!

See you there!

I know the feeling. It can get overwhelming!

It is all so worth it...have a magical trip!:D

I feel your planning exhaustion. We Mary Poppins types do this to ourselves. I have 2 teens also and they are worse than 2 year olds. I still think my husband is more of a hassle than the kids but that is another story. I hope that you can find time to enjoy the time with the girls. DD went off to college this year and we had trip planed for the fall break. I didn't realize that the reason for the break was to get them to catch up on all the stuff they put off. She couldn't go with us. I managed to survive that but it was difficult. I think that they are trying to be your little one and a big person all at the same time. When you want t pull your hairout take a deep breath and keep thinking this too shall pass. I had a fine trip but boy did I miss my DD. I've been to DW twice this year without her and it wasn't as much fun as it had been in the past I really missed her. With this age child I think it is eaier to have loose plans, they have some of there own ideas and that is a good thing. Good Luck with the college hunt. My DD loves school but she is having a hard time budgeting her time. I think that I did too much for her. Have a good time with your girls and try to ignore the eye rolls. Next year when she calls home for a 5 minute gotta talk to the parents so they know I am still alive and need $$$, you can think back to the fun you had on SM and just send another $50. God I wish they were 2 again and having a meltdown in the grocery store. I know what to do now.

I feel your pain!

I'm planning for myself and two adult men...I think I'd rather be doing it for teenaged girls!

My father-in-law has never had a vacation in his life, and only once been out of the New York Metropolitan area!

He and his son (my DH, of course) are at opposite ends of the spectrum. DH would do all of his packing on the way out the door, and FIL has been packed since September! Of course, he keeps changing his mind, and worrying about what will happen if his hats don't match his socks (honest--that was yesterday's question!) He lives an hour from here, so I can't keep running to his house to advise him. My mother-in-law isn't going, has never traveled anywhere overnight other than to the hospital to have her children, and a few times to visit her children in their own homes, never out of the state of New Jersey.

By the time we leave home, I'll need a rest home, not a hotel room!

Beth
