I am not sure if I was lied to! Can you tell me?

Some background:

Originally I booked a room only for Nov. 17-23 of 2007 at Pop since I was not sure if we could afford to go. I picked up some extra work so we can go! I did not find this out until Friday.

We decided to do the dining plan so we needed to call to change for a package. I tried all day yesterday but as we know the computers were down. I wanted to get the cheaper park tickets before prices rose.

I told the CM that I was upset and he put me on hold for a few minutes and came back and said they would honor the old price. Now, I do not know what the old price was because I could not get on the computer to price it since that was down. After I got off the phone, I put the info in online and came up with the same amount - $2,263.90 for 4 at Pop standard room.

Can anyone tell me what the price would have been prior to today? From what I understand there should have been a change in price even though it is 2007 since prices on tickets were gong up. I am thinking I should be upset, but want to make sure I have my info correct. Can anyone help??

I don't think they updated the ticket prices in the packages yet (online at least). On Friday, I had gotten a quote for $3670 at POR. I won't give all the details.

Today, the same package comes up $3670. So I don't think the new ticket prices are in the packages yet.

From what I was told, a package that you book and go on through 2007 will have the old ticket prices. If you book one of those Key to the World card tickets, you will be charged the new price if you go in 2007.

I guess our trip in early November becomes a package and we all get the same ticket, although I have no use for those WDTC extra things like the power boat and all. But better those than paying more money for a ticket.

I also tried to book online yesterday and then through the phone # during the day. Nothing could be done b/c of the computers. The last person I spoke with about 9:30 last night assured me that the pkg. prices for 2007 wouldn't be affected. She gave me true information because when I finally got through on the phone today, the pkg. price for my Dec.'07 trip was the same as I'd already printed out from their site about a week ago. I just never got around to booking it until yesterday (hoping to beat price increase) Not only that, but she saw a code next to my name and I got a discount. I don't know if that would've happened had I went ahead and booked online.

From what you've written I see no basis for your accusation of being lied to...there is nothing in your situation that suggests any deliberate attempt at deception.

As far as ticket prices going up this impacted stand alone ticket sales, KTTW tickets added to 2007 or 2008 room only reservations, and tickets associated with 2008 vacation packages. The price change did not impact the 2007 vacation packages. The price quoted for your package (room, dining, 7d PH, insurance) today is the same as it would have been yesterday, the day before, last week and 4 months ago. IMO there is no valid reason for you to be upset based on the story as you have posted it.

Thank you all so much for your help. I wasn't sure, that was why I was asking. I wanted to get the correct information in order to base my reaction. The CM said he was giving me the "old" price and that is what confused me when I looked online. You all are a wealth of knowledge and I knew I could count on you! Now I can't wait until November!

We are booked for next year November 22-29, 2008 at POP. We will have 2 adults/ 2 children in one room ages 6/7 with 6 day hopper and basic dining. Our price: $2532.68. So, it sounds like you did get a 2007 rate to me, because mine is about 300 higher than yours.

How do you know if you had a code next to your name? When I received my confirmation via email it says "Pop Century CLSSC-ZMB/Magic your way + dine" so, what does the ZMB mean? Is that a code?
