I have been trying to get my cat to pee for over an hour!! Grrr!!! Why didn't I think to teach her the pee on command like I have the dogs???!! The vet wants a sample because we think she either has a UTI or is going into kidney failure. She pees bunches and it stinks except for right now when I need a sample.
We are actually just guessing it is her because of her age. (Mom thinks it is because the kitty room smells like hers whenever their oldest gets an UTI. She calls it old cat smell. Her cat has been in kidney failure for a couple years now. He already outlived the vet estimation by 6 years due to the awesome care she gives him.) So I have resorted to cleaning out the dog crate and setting her and the plastic lined litter box in it. Usually all I have to do is put her in the car carrier and presto she goes. Oh no! Not today when I already have a killer headache. She is yowling and causing an awful rucus. Now she is sitting in the bedroom in the cage protesting every couple minutes. Of course the dog keeps coming and looking at me with the "Hey thats my bed!" Look.
