So, if you frequent the community board, you will see I had a huge bday debacle for my poor dh. Here is the link:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2428838
So, I wanted to make his Father's day extra special.
DH is a HUGE star wars fan - so much so that he has already integrated our 2 year old son into it. Poor kid - mickey mouse from me
and Darth Vader
from Papa! I had been seeing that the annual Star Wars Convention was taking place in Orlando from August 11-15 this year, but was worried about getting burned again on another present trip.
But then this morning I got an email saying Disney was getting in on the deal and not only having special room rates at POFQ, but having free transfers to the convention center where the event was taking place; free toy, free after 4 pm ticket to any theme park, and for an additional cost ($75 pp) a MAJOR special evening event at DHS to celebrate the ending of the Star Wars ride as we know it. How could I say no to that?
So I called DH and told him I had an idea for a father's day surprise similar to his bday but was worried about losing money if we had to cancel after what happened for his bday. I told him the dates and he said it would definitely not be a problem. SO I BOOKED IT!!!!
We haven't had two trips to WDW in one year in awhile!
He's going to be so shocked! Anyone else going?
