Our local K-Mart is open for Thanksgiving, they have a few things that I would like to pick up. I told DH after dinner I would like to run over, He is here with his Mom so it will be ok for me to leave! I am looking forward to getting out just for an hour! :goodvibes

Anyone else going to K-Mart today?

I am not shopping until tomorrow
but wanted to say have a great time
you deserve some YOU time :goodvibes :goodvibes

I'm not going to K-Mart today but I did go to Meijer to pick up the XBox bundle. Have a great time shopping!

not shopping today have to drive to St.Louis for dinner at my aunt's house. just wanted to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving !!!!!!!!!!!! and to your family.....go have some time to yourself you deserve it............. :grouphug:  :sunny: :bounce:

I just may do that - thanks - I just brought in the paper but havent looked at the ads yet
I just resigned myself to the fact that I'll "do" Thanksgiving this morn (parade, turkey at noon) but this afternoon I get into the Christmas spirit!

Enjoy your day

:teeth: Just got back from KMart!!

I bought the BOGO games- Battleship & Operation (14.99 and 13.99 so I got the 13.99 one free), and then the Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas DVD for $12.99.

The games are for my nephew and the DVD is for me :teeth:

It wasn't crowded at all, but people were probably deterred by the snow. The back roads were pretty bad but the highway was ok.

Another person checked off my list!! :cool1:

My Kmart was jam packed. All I wanted was the Game Boy Advance Games and there was such a line--it was hideous.

It wasn't worth standing in line for that junk if they onlyhad two cashiers working.

K-mart normally has a special Thursday Ad. But I didn't see one. I just might head on over today.

My KMart was empty around 8:30 this morning. 2 checkouts open with cashiers talking to each other. The ad did not seem as good as other years, either that or the prices are lower elsewhere tomorrow.

Here in massachusetts all of our K-Marts, Wal Marts etc are closed by order of the attorney general so I definitely won't be going today :)

I just got back from Kmart. I got Cindy and Alice on DVD :)

You would think they were giving things away. The prices weren't that great, and they had everything locked up in electronics. It was insane lines and the prices are better tomorrow at Target for the board games and some other items.

We do not have a Kmart locally; closest one(s) are either an hour east or an hour south. I am kinda bummed because there are a few things that I would have liked to have picked up cheap. Like the new Big & Rich CD.

I went over around 3 o"clock, the place was packed. The two things that I went for where already sold out! I wanted to pick up a new DVD/VCR combo and The Polar Express! Sold out.

I did get a nice Christmas decoration to hang inside of my foyer. I also got a spent a few hundred on Martha Stewart bedding. I got the complete eyelit bed sed in a pretty Ivory. She is not cheap either, $18.99 for one pillow sham! But hey I have been wanting to pick this up for some time! :teeth:

I was back home by 4! So I got an hour to myself. Mom is sleeping right now.

We went by today and while there were alot of people there it wasn't packed. We went later in the day so we probably missed most of the crowds. We did get several of the DVD's though so it was worth it.

Actually my local Kmart even had DVDs locked up. This Kmart is next to a very affluent neighborhood. Getting electronics is such a pain in this store.

Our K-Mart was open but I did not go shopping. I think it's kinds of sad that the stores have started to be open on Holidays. I feel for the people that have to work and can not be home with their families.
I talked to a cashier the other day and she said they were told they all had to work, no exceptions....Pretty soon I suppose they will be open Christmas day.
I guess I'm just old fashioned.

Back I guess 12 years ago. My mom would work on Thanksgiving (Kmart) because she would get over time pay for that day plus still get the holiday. They asked for volunteers, did not require anyone who couldn't work.

Too bad if they are making it a mandatory and not voluntary.
