Going in August. Any recommendations of what to do? we went once but was so quickly any tips welcomed!

My answer is simple go have fun. Take it easy , if you don't get on a ride that you really wanted to there is always the next day.. Enjoy as much of the food as you can. Depending how many days you are staying try to have a game plan of what park you want to go to first and make a list of your top ten things you would like to do... there so much info on the DIS boards that will help you out... Just search away or type something that you want to look up in the search engine.... anyway's have fun...

The best tip of all for me is always to remember having fun. Sometime you can get a little swept up with the planning that you forget that part. But a lot depends on how long you're going to go, if you get a Magic Morning, etc.

Get to the park early, you can get to many rides before the place fills up. Read Hydroguy's tips from the sticky above, relax and enjoy the time.

I'm also going in August for my family's first trip (5 days!), and I just wanted to say that I really appreciate all of the information, pictures, and tips that you guys have provided around here. The input is really invaluable!

Thank you!

My best tip is to read Hydroguy's Tips Compilation. Everything you needed to know! :thumbsup2 http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1520483

Many people say, just relax, take it easy, take it all in...

I think it depends on what kind of a person you are. If this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip and you want to see as much as possible, you need a plan, and tips so you know how to get the most out of your time, with the least waiting in long lines and getting stuck in crowds.

I find my trips much LESS stressful when I have a plan beforehand. We never stand around with a map arguing about what to do next, or criss-crossing the parks and getting too tired out. We never wait in lines longer that 15 minutes at the most. I am NOT a "commando"; we go at an easy pace with lots of breaks... but we always have a pretty good idea where we're headed next, and we roll with the changes when necessary.

But, if your family loves to sleep in and hates itineraries or planning, you will probably end up doing a good bit of wandering and standing in long lines. Then again, some people aren't all about riding the big rides.

So, do what suits your family and your style best! :hippie:
