Can anyone help me out. We walked into a restaurant the other night and this song was playing. The song was "I am going to Disney Land." It was hard to hear the rest of it, but that much was clear. It was a pretty "hip" place. Other songs were Five for Fighting, Bare naked ladies, Rob Tomas and the like so it wasn't elevator music or anything like that.

Any one know what I am talking about???? Who sings it, what album????? It was fun, I would love to find it.

Thanks.

If it's the song I'm thinking of, it's not one for the kids:

Dizz Knee Land by DaDa (1992)

I just ran away from home
Now I'm going to dizz knee land
I just crashed my car again
Now I'm going to dizz knee land
I just robbed a grocery store
I'm going to dizz knee land
I just flipped off President George
I'm going to dizz knee land
I just tossed a fifth of gin
Now I'm going to dizz knee land
I just got cuffed again
Now I'm going to dizz knee land
Shot my gun into the night
I'm going to dizz knee land
I just saw a good man die
I'm going to dizz knee land
Kicked my as* out of school
Rolled me out into the street
Hitched a ride on a monkey's back
Headed west into the black
I'm going to dizz knee land

Dis***land (Was Made For You & Me)"
Written by Pat MacDonald
Wisemouth Johnny was a gifted child
Went out in the world one foggy morn
Gased at the city that lay in ruin
Skipped down the road and he sang this song:
Let the wayward children play
Let the wicked have their day
Let the chips fall where they may
I'm going to Disneyland

On the Block of the Lamb Variety Show
See the little preachers all in a row
They jump and shout, hoot and holler
Prayin' for your salvation dollar
Let the wayward children play
Let the wicked have their day
Let the chips fall where they may
I'm going to Disneyland

As we contemplate the horror
Of the senseless things men do
In this search for rhyme or reason
One must finally come to view
This recurring nightmare madness
As merely man's attempt
To prove that nothing's sacred
That no one is exempt
So - Let the wayward children play
Let the wicked have their day
Let the chips fall where they may
We're all going to Disneyland

It doesn't matter what I say
It don't matter what notes I play
'Cause we're all gonna die someday
And then we'll all be together in Disneyland

Thanks guys, now I don't know which one it was, because it could of been either one. I have heard of Timbuk3 before. I do supsect it wasn't a song for kids though (since it was at a rather "hip" place)

I guess I have to look them both up and have a listen.

Thanks so much! :thumbsup2

My money is on the Dada cut. It has the rather distinctive chorus of "I'm going to Disneyland". Dizz Knee Land is the correct spelling(not the kind of message Disney would want to be associated with).:earsboy:

There is a family friendly version that was once played
I'm going to Disneyworld

It recently was played on the Inside the magic podcast episode 60

It was played on the old disney radio station
