I am freaking out SOS

I bought BRV last year because I thought I’d love an early December visit to soak up the atmosphere. 😆 Then it was time to actually go, and I was so busy with Christmas preparations that the thought of losing a weekend to stare at theme park holiday trees was suddenly one of the dumbest DVC decisions I’ve made 😭 oh well 🤷🏼‍♀️ could have been worse, at least I didn’t buy Vero

So true! I'm actually happy we have BRV when I really think about it. WDW trips are definitely more difficult for us than DLR, so there's a chance we may not want to go as often once our BRV expires in 2042. So it's probably a good thing we purchased there.

Team.dwarves, I like when they do their little dance in the middle, but if you get a bad table like we dod, can't really see much

From grammarist:

Dwarfs is the standard plural of the noun dwarf. Dwarves is a newer variant popularized (though not invented) by English author J.R.R. Tolkien in his fantasy fiction works, including The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

Who knew??

Interesting. I’ll admit I didn’t get from Lord of the Rings. I don’t think 🤔

Well this is really irritating. Quality assurance is now telling me that MS is responsible for the disappearing reservations and MS is telling me that Quality assurance is the one migrating and is responsible for my reservations on hold.

It wasnt completed today and MS advised me not to book anything until I talk to Quality assurance. MS said maybe its them or members administration 🤦‍♀️

I think its Quality assurance and the cm just wanted to get off the phone because its the end of their day. Im pretty upset at this point, it shouldn't be like this. I am paying for this jist like everyone else.

We wanted to go to vdh again this month but im scared to book. I will call them tomorrow again. Ive been really nice, but I think tomorrow im going to be more firm and say I didnt know I was walking into a mess buying more points and I should have just stuck with the 150 in this case. Ridiculous.

When you changed from 150 to 200 points, did you change the number and size of contracts from how you bought the 150?

If you did, that could be why the reservations had to be put on “hold” and removed because those contracts would be null in void now.

I am sure it will be worked out but may just take a little extra time!

I went from 3 contracts 150 points to 3 contracts 200 points.

I did change the point distribution to 75 75 and 50 instead of 50 50 50 but that had to happen cuz theres more points. I didnt think of that but that could be causing perhaps another complication.

I did notice they "cancelled" all of the reservations on the 3 150 contracts so that makes sense, but theyre still sitting on my dashboard along with the 3 new ones and im still able to book on the old ones (im not doing that) so its really weird that they havent removed them when the 3 new ones have been set up already with points ready to book and 2 have been finalized accepting deposit payments.

The old 3 are still there and able to accept deposit payments too. It must be a difficult process or maybe theres a line of other people before me, it doesnt seem like a common situation.

But really im surprised they dont freeze everything when this happens because im pretty sure I could literally book stays with those old contracts right now if I was a bad actor or sell the points and the new points. Obviously I know im not going to do that but theyre really trusting people and giving them days with all this access to do something nefarious seems crazy to me. I guess they could sue but why go through all that!

Freezing and a faster turn around to fix it (like 24 hours so no one is upset because i would be very upset) seems like it would be in their best interest and the member. I agree with the access to me being able to book on the new contracts but the old ones should be frozen or gone by now

It makes some sense now as to why they had to remove the reservations since two of the contracts you booked under have to be changed from 50 to 75.

Are you saying you see all 6 contracts in your dashboard to book with? Or someplace else? I’m confused by what you mean able to accpet deposits.

I have 510 points to book with in 2028 which is my baylake 160, the 150 point contract and the 200 point new one. But because I banked and borrowed into 2026 and 2027 and they cancelled everything those numbers look crazy and dont make sense to me lol.

So on the "pay my deposit" link under My Dvc it allows me to continue paying my deposits on the old contracts (those should be disabled) and two of the new contracts. Its a hot mess i tell ya, I haven't seen any progress being made today

If you did all of that using the original contracts and then changed them, I am not surprised it’s going to take time to untangle it all before having the three actual contracts you are buying set to go.

It’s the weekend too so that is bound to slow it down, depending on how many departments need to be involved!

I wonder if they have not removed the old contracts from where you can pay on them is that they need them there until they get the reservations restored?

It’s possible that is what is “holding” them for you? Or, dare I say, there could be an issue because it required banking and borrowing?

I have no idea how MA handles that so they take those actions on your behalf with the new contracts.
