Ok, I keep seeing things about the DDE. My wife keeps telling me about this dining plan where you pay $35 a person for all of your meals for the day. I thought that was DDE, but it seems that DDE is a discount card that you buy?? We would like the $35 a person/a day plan. We have AP's, can we still buy this??

Thanks for any help!! :earsboy:

I believe you have to buy a package to be able to add that dining option on to but I am not 100% sure.. I would call and find out..

You can buy the Magic your way dinning if you are staying at wdw and buy at least 1 day worth of park tickets. The plan must be booked at a package room meals and tickets but you do not have to buy tickets for everyday of your stay. The DDE is a dinning card for table service rest. where ap holders get a discounts it cost 50. Hope this was helpful.

Regarding the DDE;

As was previously posted, DDE is for AP holders and Florida residents. It normally costs $75, but there is a discount of $25 for now bringing the cost to $50. It entitles you to 20% off your dining, as well as drinks, including alcohol. You can order it over the phone, but it becomes valid at the time of purchase . Not when you first use it.

If you wanted to add the dining plan to your reservation you may by calling disney and telling them you want to add the dining plan. I think that there may be a minimum of Magic your way base tickets that ou have to purchase in order ot do the plan which might not benefit you since you already have ap's. ALso the DDE card saves you 20% on most table service restaurants and at counter service places in AK. Ours saved us alot of money... a few hundre doallrs worth

I'm a little confused too about the dining option. We are booked on the wonder and I would like to add the dining for the days on land. I called today and they said I was not able to. The only way it would be possible is if I booked the land portion separate from the cruise. Does this sound right? :confused3
