I am booked at POR but I wanted AKL Last night I had a client of mine tell me she has already called Disney days before her trip and upgraded to a better hotel at no cost. Have any of you done this? Also I went thru a travel agent so does that limit me?

Upgrades to different resorts are few and far between. I would just make ressies where you really want to stay.

There's a chance that your client was booked at rack rate and when "upgraded" actually just recieved the benefit of a discount code available at the time. Some code rates can be pretty close to the rack rates at other resorts.

When going thru a TA only the TA can make adjustments to your reservation. This is why I stopped using a TA. I'm a little bit of a control freak and can't stand to have someone else control my vacation. This, of course, does not apply to DU.
