And the whole building's air conditioning has been out since yesterday.

And it is going to be out for an entire week.

And it is 84 degrees inside my office right now.

And it is going to reach 95 degrees in Chicago today.

Good thing I can sneak into the server room, where it is 65 degrees!!!! :smooth: :smooth:

Brian,

Isn't it time for you do to that 'maintenance' on those servers? And didn't you say it would take you all week???? ;)

Good Luck and stay cool

Debbie

I'm in the same situation at my office. I say we should get extra vacation time for working under these conditions.:D

Brian, come on over here... they have the A/C blasting as always and most of us have jackets, sweaters or blankets on to keep us warm

That kind of heat would make me sick! The air is finally kicking in here!

Good thing the server room is cool or you'd have a world of troubles!!!!!! :D

Hang in there!!!! It could be worse I suppose, well, maybe not!

You could over heat and then what would they do?> I hate getting the dizzy, cammy feeling from getting too hot. You need to go home until it is fixed.

How often can you sneek to the server room, though?

Pour water over your head & buy a portable fan.;) You may not look too attractive but at least you'll be cool!:p

Ha ha! Have space heater on now as we speak. I am in Georgia and it is 91 degrees outside. 65 degrees in here! Told my co-worker he needs to shave his body hair. He ALWAYS keeps it cold in here, hence his nicknames Mr. Freeze and Sub-Zero. Somedays you could hang meat in the this office.....

I'm sitting here with a winter jacket on as the a/c is blasting away. I keep going outside to warm up.

just think about those of us who don't ever have a/c at work!!!!!!!!!!!!! As we say to new people deal with it, you get used to it

I think you jinxed us Brian.....

We had an over load here. Power went out briefly (we have full emergency generators in my office.. did not even phase us) and the A/C went out. Power returned.. but not the A/C :(

Service has been called.. who knows when it will return.

Oh. and by the way, it is 90 here today.....

Debbie

Anyone that knows me knows that I WORSHIP A/C!!!

I cannot live without it! My DH knows I'm not worth being around if there's no A/C.

OMG, I would have either taken days without pay, or vacation time, but there's no way I would be working!

I feel your pain. 30 hot, smelly, sticky students in one small classroom without air-conditioning don't do well, either. Keep drinking water. At least you can leave to go to the restroom when you need to go, right?

Poor Brian!! Try to pretend your chair is a seat on Thunder Mt and you're getting ready to go down one of the fun hills in the 90 degree heat in Florida!!! :bounce:

That's bad, sorry to hear that. Nothing worst than working in an over heated office. My work just turned on the air conditioning a few weeks ago, thank God they did, it was tough to work in before that.

Things could be worse...About a month ago, my sister called me from her office to say that something had DIED in the ceiling above her desk and she had MAGGOTS raining down on her head!!! She had to wear a hat all day and stay there!!! The exterminator found a big dead rat!!! Sooooo, count your blessings, things can always get worse.

Oh yeah, the person I work with always has it freezing too. I have to keep a jacket at work!

Keep cool Brian. Our server room hit 100 degrees the other day. Sometimes even the computers aren't safe from the heat.

Oh, I totally would not have stayed if I had maggots raining down on my head....They can't very well force you to work under those conditions.
