Okay, so I had to buy a shirt with the Deathly Hallows insignia on it to wear on my day in the park. I tried to talk DH into one, too, but he refuses due to the fact he has never read the books and doesn't want to be a "poser" (does anybody even say that anymore?)! After months of begging, he has said he will wear a shirt that says muggle because he knows what that means! To say I am thrilled is a mild understatement. I think this might just make me a Harry Potter nerd (and the fact I am reading the entire series for the eighth time!).

:thumbsup2 Years after the fact, I am just getting into Harry Potter. I got all caught up with the films (Except "Deathly Hallows") and I'm almost finished reading the first book (Sorcerer's Stone). I'll admit the fact that we'll be at Universal Studios in a few weeks (!) has a lot to do with my sudden interest in Harry Potter! :rolleyes1 DH is into it too, though, possibly more than me as he keeps watching "The Goblet of Fire" over and over again!

Where did you get your shirt?

In my opinion, I don't think you're a Harry Potter nerd until you've joined Hogwarts Online (Or have you already?) ;)

Just for future reference, the books are SOOOOO much better than the books. Only the first two and the last one have been anywhere near accurate. I got the shirts at cafepress!

I am loving Sorcerer's Stone and I have The Chamber of Secrets waiting on my bedside table. I actually bought the first two books awhile ago for my DD, but ever since the Twilight series came out, she has forgotten all about Harry Potter. :sad1:

Thanks for the heads-up about cafepress!

I really understand what you mean. Coming from a fellow Potter nerd.

Uhhh, I have don't know about OP, but me? Mugglenet, I even got sorted (into Gryffindor of course), potteracademy, Wizarding World Park . I know, get a life:rolleyes:

One grand looks like HP another is an EXACT replica of 11 year old Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint). We all love HP and everything about it.

Goblet of Fire is a good one to re-watch, a lot of WWOHP has elements from that book/movie. Also 1 and 2.

Yes - another fellow HP Junkie. I have read the books countless times and me and my daughter are finally going to be heading to Hogwarts in August. We can't wait.

(and for the record I was sorted into Ravenclaw!:thumbsup2

I'm just getting started on Hogwarts Online, but I was sorted into Gryffindor, too!

Haha, whoop whoop for HP nerds.

I'm a huge HP nerd. I realized this when I made a 12 minute walk in 4 minutes in order to get the chance to see the envelope drop and the actors at the Grand Opening of WWoHP. And when I freaked out when I got to meet and get a picture with Andrew Sims (runs Mugglenet).

Glad you got him in a Muggle shirt. LOL. There is this shirt that my bff's sister has it says Muggle Please....and I love it. LOL.

When I have children I will probably make them wear shirts to Harry Potter World as well. 2010 was my lucky Harry Potter year, aside from the fact that I spent all of my teen years being a complete Harry Potter nerd. Over spring break my parents received an invitation to stay at a the Hilton Parc Soleil for a reduced cost, so with that they said yes and planned a trip to Harry Potter world. Then, I actually met Daniel Radcliffe himself when I was studying abroad last summer (he's very nice, and verrry short). And to complete my year we visited the park in December and I now display my wand proudly in my dorm room.

But Hogwarts online? Hmmm I see I've been studying too long, I haven't heard of it before, but I think I'll go check it out now...

I am a Harry Potter Nerd too and my daughter even more so. She is graduating from High School this year and we are heading out to Florida on Friday for an early graduation trip. I am sooo excited and the biggest kid of them all!! I read the books to my kiddos before the movies and we are those snobs that have to read the book before we see the movie. My suggestion is to listen to HP audiobooks-the narrator Jim Dale does an impressive job with all the voices and brings the characters to life. When my son was in Kindergarten and my daughter in 2nd grade, they were Harry and Hermonie for Halloween. Before you could buy all the costume stuff. I made the glasses out of pipecleaners!! :) If you see a lady with two tall kiddos crying and freaking out on Sunday...that will be me :)
My daughter swears that listening to Mugglecast helped her survive Middle School and some very trying times. She too has met Andrew Sims :)

Yippee!!!
You'll have a great time! I felt choked up, I was with a non-Potter fanatic but just ignored them.
It was sheer bliss sitting outside of the DC lockers on the steps, drinking my butterbeer watching the people in Hogsmeade going about their business, so many UK people there it was so realistic. Then with the theme music playing in the background I could have stayed forever.

Talking about the costumes? Someone always asks the two grandsons why they don't go as Harry and Ron every year. The little red head is a Ron duplicate.

This reminds me of the TV shows where they people are at meetings.
You know the kind I'm speaking about, where they stand up and say their names etc (well in reality too, just not MY personal reality:rotfl2:).

That is what I thought of when I saw the thread title.
So here goes:
Hi, My name is Tink and I am a Harry Potter Nerd.

I LOVE you people!! All the posts by you fans who love and appreciate Harry like my family and I do.... it just makes me SO happy!! We went to the Wizarding World for the first time about 6 weeks ago! Being in Hogsmeade was pure bliss, I tell ya!! As soon as we had to leave, we were plotting our next trip there! pixiedust:
