I am working on packing and I almost have our park bag down to a 1 gallon ziploc. I think the $tree ponchos are gonna put me over. Here's what I have so far:
6 diapers (yes, I know that's a lot for one day)
wipes
disposable bib, placemat, silverware, diaper changing pad
bags for stinky diapers
extra outfit for DD
sunscreen
Tide to go

Here's what I need to add:
list of our ADRs
2 backup pacis
bandaids
Tylenol
extra ziploc bags
ponchos
hat for DD ?
glowsticks ?
Neosporin?
I also would love to have at least one sippy cup somewhere. I'm thinking I may have to go a little bigger with the bag. I truly think this is as much as I can cut back. I am hoping for one bag that can stay in the stroller at all times and then carry tickets and cameras in our pockets. (The kids plan on taking their fanny packs for whatever they want/need though I'm secretly hoping to downsize this too so they can just take one fanny pack and take turns carrying it). I guess I'm off to find a slightly larger bag.

Sounds great! We put many of theses same things in a back pack. I then bring a small shoulder back with wallet, keys, tickets camera etc. This bag i carry with us. The backpack we just leave in the stroller when we r on rides. We have never had a problem of anything getting stolen! Have a great trip. We leave next week. My son is almost two and I am expecting a little girl Aug 2.

just a thought...is this bag going to be packed so tight that in order to get some thing out you have to take everything out in order to get one item from the bottom of the bag? Just would seem a little too time annoying to pack and repack.

Is this for the newborn or the almost 2 yr old?

Wow you bring a lot of stuff for a 2 yr old. Do you really use 6 diapers a daya/ mine never did when they were past being an infant.

I'd cut out the
Tylenol-first aid and stores have it if you really need it
Neosporin- see above
Tide to go=can easily live without
Placemat-Why?
Silverware- why they have plastic
bib-didn't use them at 2, tuck in a couple napkins in their shirt
3 pacifiers ?

I would bring for an almost 2 yr old- 4 diapers max, wipes, pad-but as thin as possible, 1 very thin outfit, sunscreen, a few bandaids, plastic bags and ponchos. possibly a sippy cup, mine wouldn't wear hats but that wouldn't take up room or it could be tied onto stroller till needed.

Seriously it isn't the wilderness!

It's for the 2 year old. I have real problems with paying 3x the price for something I have here at home anyhow, thus the Tylenol. The bibs, silverware and placemats take up very little space and I have them anyhow, may as well pack them just in case. 3 pacis because she is a paci addict but when they get dropped on the ground, it's not always convenient to rinse them right that second (yes, I rinse them in DW). And no, I most likely won't need 6 diapers a day (when we went in December she ate nothing but pickles and cheese, very few dirty diapers) but I tend to be bad about repacking the bag for the next day :rolleyes1 so I'd rather be safe than sorry. Seriously, with packing all of this stuff, we are still packing lighter than we did on trips without the toddler.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Curiously I have just agreed with you completely on another thread Hannathy. I'm feeling a bit of a vibe happening!!!!

i completely understand and I have packed a lot of the similar stuff before. As for the tylenol, if you are having a problem, fever, injury whatever all you have to do is go to one of the first aid places and they give you a medicine cup with the amount of tylenol that you need (for free) you can go back and ask for more later on or at a different site whatever. We had to do this last year when my son got a fever.

For the most part we used a small backpack that we kept in the stroller for the most part and took our camera's with us when we all went on rides. The rest of the valuables, park tickets, cash and 1 emergency cc we carried in our pockets.
We only really brought 3-4 diapers for our 2 yo, wipes, 1 sippy, rain ponchos, 1 extra small 1 piece outfit in case of an accident, and a small sweatshirt because we tend to go in Sept, and Oct when it gets a little cooler at night time. (we did also have a small cooler that we loaded with ice and water bottles and kept in the basket of the stroller)

I agree with the extra diapers. You can never have too many. Plus buying diapers in the park is so overpriced!

I think your list sounds reasonable; not too far off from what I pack for my 2 year old. I'd take your extra outfit and other similar items and put them in smaller quart sized bags inside the gallon (or 2 gallon) bag. It will be easier than sifting through everything, plus less space used.

Also, bring an extra big bag or two in your suitcase...sometimes those zipper locks fail and you'll want a back-up bag for another day.

Sounds reasonable to me too. I agree with using smaller (quart) bags - I used one for dining - sippys, placemats, etc in that one, one for diaper changes - wipes, diapers in there and one for a change of clothes. That way, I just had to pull out the bag I needed instead of unpacking the whole big bag each time.

We never used the first aid supplies - first aid is readily available, so if you want to save some space, that's what I'd skip.

if you are looking to be able to have a sippy to leave with the stroller I suggest something like this - it has been invaluable to us especially at WDW!

incase the link doesn't work 'cause they never do for me --- it is called SippyPal I found it at BuyBuyBaby

the one I have is similar but not this exact one. mine has straps that go around the cup to hold in I will try to find mine.

I am packing almost the exact same list for our 23 mo. old, only more than 6 diapers. All my kids have always gone through at least 6 diapers a day, right up to potty training. I didn't know we were abnormal???

I would combine the Neosporin and bandaids and just bring a couple of the band-aids that already have antibiotic on them.

I don't think your kids are abnormal. My DD has never cared if she was wet and never had a problem staying in a wet diaper so I tend to not change her very often (unless she leaks). A little girl I used to babysit had a very sensitive bottom and needed to be changed as soon as she peed or she would end up with open sores. I think for the most part it comes down to personal preference.
