We've never used that $15 Planet Hollywood voucher that we get every time we go to WDW. Neither of us has any desire to have lunch or dinner there, from all I've read the food isn't that great and it's overpriced and loud. This coming trip, as last one, we're doing the QSDP. Does anyone know if we can use the voucher to just get drinks or dessert at the bar? Is there a separate bar area there?

yeah, you can use it on anything but alcohol I believe.
You can't combine it with the DDP though.
For example, you can't order the DP meal and then add on an app. with the coupon.

Can you go in there and spend just $15 (e.g., an appetizer or 2), or is there a minimum you must spend, say $50 to use the voucher?

Thanks!!

We had the Dining Plan last week, and used our $15 Planet Hollywood voucher for lunch one day in order to save two counter service credits (one for each of us) to use our last day in the parks.

I don't remember there being a minimum amount to spend, though with two entrees and two sodas, lunch ended up costing only about $15 after the voucher. It was worth it for us so we'd had counter services lunch on our final day in the Magic Kingdom.

We went in (DH, DD, and I). We each got a drink (soda) and the Texas Tostadas which DH and DD shared. The bill was around $20 and about $5 after the voucher was taken off. I tipped based on the total bill, so it cost me $10.00. Not bad to get out of the sun and off our feet for a little bit.

The waiter was quite upset when he found out that we were using the coupon. I assume most do not tip based on the total bill, but ended up being really nice when he realized my tip was more than the group of 6 young girls next to us who ate full meals...

We also picked up the free keychain that comes with the vouchers. DS thought it was neat and he took it for a souvenier...

We used our voucher mid afternoon on Monday, 09/14/2009. I told them up front we wanted to have "appetizers at the bar." The waiter was GREAT!!! He asked up front if we had a voucher, which we did. We ordered two appetizers (chicken and tiny burgers) and I think we had a soda and a tea. We tipped him generously because he was so very nice and absolutely on the ball. I think we spent about $20 (but that was with a nice tip). It was nearly dead inside so we didn't have much of a wait.

We used ours to get a dessert after La Nouba and it worked out great. There is no minimum you must spend to use the voucher. With tax and tip we ended up spending a little but really enjoyed our dessert there.
