Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has the I-95 Exit Information guide and if you do, did you find it useful?

I will be driving to Myrtle Beach from CT in May. Even though we could drive it in one day, we have decided to drive a little more than half way, stay for the night and drive the rest the following day and the same on the way back.

I have been thinking about ordering this book, but it was published in 2008 and I am worried that the information might be out of date (and I don't want to spend the $ if it won't be useful).

Any information will be helpful. Thanking you in advance.
Jenny

The DW and I just picked up this book at borders over the weekend in anticipation for our road trip from MA to WDW in April/May. We both have read it cover to cover and there seems to be a wealth of information contained within...Having said that we haven't used it in the sense that our road trip hasn't occurred yet but I can speak to the fact that it is well organized and contains a ton of maps and information regarding rest areas, restaurants, shopping and attractions. There is a lot of repeat and general information especially when it comes to the rest areas but the DW and I picked up some great ideas for side trips from this book...For that reason alone it was worth the $25 we spent on it :thumbsup2

I had the Drive I95 book. And while it was a fun read- I think I could have found all that info for free online. If you have a laptop or blackberry I am pretty sure you can get that info as you travel.

I don't know the book you mentioned maybe it's better. The I 95 book only went to the Florida Border- and we could have used info all the way down to Miami.

There is even good info right here on the DIS for exit by exit info.

The newest version of Drive I95 has exit information I believe to Miami maybe a bit further south. Just an FYI :)

We live right off I95 in Maryland. I saw the book Drive I95 in a discount book store. It was the previous edition. We loved it for our drive to Florida. Even learned about local things we didn't know. Since then we have bought a more up to date version.

I highly recommend it.

I have driven from Northern Vermont to Myrtle Beach many times. I always set my overnight stop for Fredricksburg, Va. It's about 600 miles from here. Closer, I'm sure, from Conn.

There are a gazillion hotels and motels just off 95 in that area. If you can find a specific chain that would work for you as an overnight, just go online and search the hotel name, like best western or super 8 or whatever. You can easily search the site for rates, directions, restaurants close by and so on. Way cheaper than buying a book about it and since it's just for overnight, you don't really need that much information, I would guess.
