I-4 or toll road from Sanford?

Hey

Quick question - which of the above is the best/quickest way to get to to I-Drive from Sanford. Last time I took I-4 and it was okay. Just wanted to know what people thought.

Depends when you travel I guess?

We've done it both ways on a Friday afternoon/evening. The toll road was far faster and easier. Too much traffic on I4 on we ended up stopped for about 5/10 mins due to the volume.

Last time we were there was in Sept just after a hurricane and all the tolls had been lifted

The 417 Central Florida Greeneway/528 Beeline Expressway is by far the better/quieter option, IMO.

The holiday companies will always recommend the Toll Roads for their customers because they are less busy and therefore easier for unfamiliar drivers. I personaly prefer to use the I4 though.

I am aware that I know the I-4 road and may just stick with this. I'll see what the car hire people advise depending on the time I get in at.

I used the toll roads the first time but have used the I4 each time after that and it has been no problems.
