Do none of you watch the very excellent BBC Doctor Who series? She's the season four companion for the doctor.

For shame! She's awesome in it. (but then, so is everyone else)

Doctor Who and Torchwood are both "must see" shows for me.

That's who she is. My former stepmother loved Dr. Who. OMG, I watched it, but it wasn't by choice.

I did however have the pleasure of making friends with John Frank Rosenblum when I was in college. Because he loved Dr. Who so much, his father gave him the rights to the series as a gift. I think it said that he was 13 at the time. He's my age, if memory serves. I haven't seen him in about 20 years now, but you could tell that he was going to have a bright future. So, if you love Dr. Who on American tv, you should thank him. Oh, and he's family too.

Um, I did love the old series, too. But you know that I'm talking about the brand new series that BBC started doing about 4 years ago, right? It was "created" and produced (and partially written) by out producer Russel T. Davies who created the U.K. "Queer as Folk". Brilliant man. The new series is broadcast on BBC America.

Catherine Tate was on it just last year.

Her appearance on the Graham Norton show is also worth finding and watching as well.

And yes, I do like Gwen. Her more annoying traits are endearing to me - what can I say, I've accepted the fact that I, personally, have annoying traits, and thus don't mind them in other people, and in fact, appreciate getting to see them on tv.

Oh. That must be why Gwen grates on my nerves, then.

I, personally, have no annoying traits.

And I think Ianto stepped up and became quite the major player in all of Season Two.

I'm interested to see how Rhys plays off of the Jack and Ianto characters with more regularity.
