Hypothetically, is this possible?

We are thinking about a trip staying in CSR with 2 adjoining rooms - 3 adults/1 teen/2 kids. Haven't been since Jan2018 so a lot of the newer planning stuff escapes me a bit. Anyway, assuming park reservations are still a thing when we go would we be able to split our group up and do three different parks in the morning, then meet later for dinner at a common park... or do we all have to go to the same park in the morning? Either I've been out of the loop or planning has just become more difficult. Any thoughts?

I can't answer all your questions, but I can tell you that adjoining rooms aren't guaranteed, so I'm not sure how you'd be able to swing this part of your plan.
Thanks. We know there's no guarantee, but we've had good luck getting them every time we've asked.

Yes, each member of your party can have different park reservations for the morning and then hop to a common park after 2pm. Just be aware that there is no guarantee of hopping to any given park. An ADR will not grant you access if the park is deemed at capacity and closed to hopping. So far that hasn't happened...

You will want connecting rooms. Not adjoining rooms. Adjoining only means that they are near one another.

Having said that, and to answer your question, you do not have to have the same park reservations as one another but hopping to a second park will be dependent upon capacity limits at that second park.

Thank you! That's good to know because it opens up an opportunity for my family to experience a Disney trip in a new way.

This. We had our reservations linked and requested connecting rooms, but there was an (empty, king-bed) room between our rooms. It was fine. We were at least near to each other.

Yes that's possible.
There is no guarantee that you'll all be able to enter the common park depending on capacity.
In which case I'd have a back up plan for where to meet up for dinner.

100% this. All connecting rooms adjoin, but not all adjoining rooms connect. If you want to request that door in between, you need to use the word "connecting".

Also know that if they are not able to give you connecting rooms, you will be expected to split up so that there is at least one person 18+ in each room.
