Let's pretend that your friend was fighting with her cousin.
Her cousin got mad that she left.
Later that night, she found out that she died in a car accident while out with a guy.
Is it your friend's fault or not?

Not at all. The friend isn't at fault for what happened.

But wouldn't it be?
I mean, if they hadn't been fighting she wouldn't have left. If she hadn't left she wouldn't have gone to the party and driven home with the guy. If she hadn't driven home with the guy they wouldn't have gotten into an accident and she wouldn't have died.
So wouldn't it be her fault?

Its not her fault she got into the fight with her cousin , she didnt HAVE to leave, she didnt HAVE to go to that party , and she didnt HAVE to go home with that guy .

THOSE were all HER COUSINS desicions .

I was just gonna say that

It's not her fault, period.
She can't control anything that happened.
God has plans, and no matter what something was going to happen. And it happens for a reason.

It's not.

This doesn't sound hypothetical to me.

i don't think it is her fault of what her cousin does.

She had a choice of whether or not to go to the party. She could have gone even if she was with the cousin, and this all could have still happened.

No way was it her fault. Like others have already said, her cousin didn't have to leave.

It's not.

Agreed.

It is not the cousins fault. There's no way to tel whether or not the situation could've be preventive. Maybe they would've gone out for something to eat if they hadn't been fighting, and maybe then they would've gotten into the accident. There is no way to tell. I think if I was in the sitatuion, I would feel to as though it was my fault, but in the end it really isn't the other persons fault.

Ok listen your friend is always going to think what if what if this and if she gets over that one shes going to think what if that. I think everyone does when they have someone close to them that dies. Now like people earlier have said God has a plan for EVERYTHING it doens't matter if they were fighting maybe if they weren't thye would have both gotten into and accident. You don't know. But this was what God wanted. My mom used to say when God would need someone he would take them away. You can't look at it as it's Gods fault either you have to look at it in the simple form of God needed this person so he found a way to get to that person. You just have to remember that that person is in a better place now. I wish the whole family the best in this time of need hypothetically ofcourse.

So it may not be exactly hypothetical, but not everything said was correct information.
I still think it is the friend's fault.
