Hypothetical Free Disney Dining Question...

So, I am planning a trip for probably December of this year. The entire dates of trip hinge soleley on when free dining is offered (if it even is).

Here is my question, after all the research, I have narrowed it down to probably book sometime around December 9th or 10th. This would make my ADR call in sometime in June.

If I have an existing resort reservation and I have it deposited only, can I then make ADR's and not have to pay for them out of my pocket (like Hoop Dee Doo and CRT) or will I still have to prepay them?

I would have to make the resort reservation and add the dining plan, correct? And then call in when/if free dining is offered?

Thanks!!!

Yes, you will need an existing reservation WITH dining plan added in order to avoid the prepayment for CRT or dinner shows. Whether the reservation is paid off or not is not relevant.

Yes, you can have free dining applied to your reservation if it is released and your check-in date is included. If the resort or room category you booked previously is not available on the free dining promotion when you call, you'll have to change resorts and/or room categories to obtain the discount.
