Hyperspace Mtn vs Radiator Springs?

So I've got one day in Disneyland, and I'm trying to plan accordingly. I have a few must-dos, which for the most part I'm hoping arent too long but my concern is planning to do both Hyperspace Mountain AND Radiator Springs Racers. I'd prefer not to do Single Rider, but I know that might be the best option.

Which should I go for first? It'll be me and fiance, we're going on a day both parks open at 8AM(Disneyland has EE at 7 that morning, we're not staying onsite).

We're also going on a Saturday(2/6), which I know will be busy, but I think if we plan right, we can get the most done. If anyone also has any tips for meeting Anna & Elsa, or getting to the parade, fireworks, and World of Color in one day, it'd be much appreciated! I know WDW pretty well; Disneyland is a beast I've yet to tame!

The FP's are disconnected at the two parks, so I would go into DL and get HSM FP and then send one person over to DCA to get RSR FP!

Meeting A&E is easy now a days! You just go into the Animation building and usually there is a very short line. We waiting 10 minutes on a Sunday in November!

It's pretty hard to try and do PTN, fireworks and WOC all in one night. But if you are quick you might be able to. You'd have to check the time schedule and figure out what order to do them in.

It seems like RSR FPs are lasting longer into the day now (at least for first two hours in most cases). If you get there right at opening on Friday, I would head over to DCA and ride RSR right at opening. There might be a line (depending on where you are in the crowds), but I would think you could probably finish riding it within the first hour or so of opening. Then after that, I'd head over to DL at grab a FP for HyperSM (the standby will probably already be in the hour plus range). As you exit DCA, you could check the RSR FPs and see what the return times are (they've been lasting for at least a few hours after opening lately, so you could probably still get one after riding RSR). It won't be on the way, but I'd also go get a WoC FP at this point, if you plan to see WoC that evening.

Looking at the times for PtN (8:00 pm and 10:00 pm), fireworks (8:40 pm), and WoC (9:45 pm), I think you could see all three shows in one night (8:00 pm PtN, 8:40 pm fireworks, and 9:45 pm WoC), but if you have two nights, I would spread them out (PtN & fireworks one night, WoC the other night). You're best bet is to watch PtN from wherever you want to watch fireworks (e.g., if you want to watch fireworks on Main Street, find a spot on MS to watch PtN). Then after fireworks, head straight to DCA to try and get a WoC viewing spot. The prime spots will probably already be taken, but you might get lucky and find a good/okay spot.

I'm sure you can get FP for both, especially if you're staying all day and don't care about the return time. I would do Hyperspace first and then RSR. I did this on a recent (busy) trip - we didn't get there at opening but we still got return times somewhere around 6pm for both rides. The only unfortunate thing about this plan is if you wanted to use that first hour after opening to ride rides without FP. You can probably afford to jump in a couple of short lines before you start collecting FP unless you need an early return time.

Both of those rides have FP, so as long as you only plan to ride them each once it shouldn't be a big issue. I would personally download the app and watch the FP return times. Decide which park you want to start at. Immediately grab the FP for the ride in that park. Then use the first hour of the park to ride your must dos that do not have FP and then hop over to the other park and get a FP for the other ride and ride some of the rides there that do not have FP.

When we went to Disneyland a couple weeks ago, Fastpasses for both Hyperspace and RSR were gone about in about equal times (about 1pm for both). Since RSR does have the option of single rider, I would prioritize Hyperspace Mountain first thing without Fastpasses and then go over to DCA and grab fastpasses for RSR which should still be available for mid Afternoon. Also, RSR wasn't down once when we went for three days while Hyperspace was down for two extended times. Getting Hyperspace done early in the morning is good just in case as well.
