Had anyone heard if it’s coming back around May the Force day? How long does it usually stick around?

I don't think they are going to be doing it this year due to Galaxy's Edge opening and aside from Star Tours, they want to pretty much keep all of Star Wars over there. I would even expect the launch bay to close by the time Galaxy's Edge opens.

I could see it going, but I could see it not going. The hype for SW:GE could encourage them to get it going for May the 4th, or it could discourage them so that the SW desire remains largely unquenched before SW:GE opens. So, I've got no helpful knowledge :)

I don't think you'll see Hyperspace Mountain this Spring, it might return for the release of Star Wars 9 but I don't think it's needed and the down time to put it up or take it down would be a disruption.

The downtime is literally one day and even that they have managed to get to where they could don't overnight, the day is for testing and in case they need to tweak anything.

Remember when the remodeled Space Mountain years ago, they designed it so that it would be a different experience during the day than at night, meaning a lot of this is simply flipping a switch.

Good point. But I still think they will pause it this year, love to be wrong. But my gut says they will save it for another special time.

Launch Bay isn't supposed to close according to many Disney News sites as Disneyland needs as much capacity as possible. I think it would be fitting to do Hyperspace Mountain.

I think it would be a good idea to run Hyperspace Mountain, anything to keep guests out of SWGE is a good thing. I agree Hyperspace Mountain is my favorite, so much better than Ghost Galaxy. That MUSIC. The images are good, but the music gives me goosebumps.

I guess I’m the only one here who prefers the regular SM to the hyperspace version (have never been around at the right time to ride the ghost galaxy version).
:duck:

To me, the moment when we speed up and the goofy 60s music kicks in, is always one of my absolute favorite times of each trip!!

You're not alone. Regular Space Mountain is better than Hyperspace and Ghost Galaxy in my opinion.

I won't be there but very happy they are still bring it back. I thought I would not love it but I did!!! I ride Space only 1 time a 5 day trip. When it was hyperspace I rode it 5-7 times (my memory is bad lol). It is amazing and seemed to take away some of the motion sickness I felt.

Totally agree. I'm not a SW fan, for starters, and I just love the music for the original.
Me four!

Normal SM is the best. After that I enjoy HSM and SMGG for a change, but am always glad when the normal one comes back.
