Hyperspace Mountain

we arent going till the last week of November. My kid would love the star wars stuff, but im thinking we will be too late

We have never seen the ghost galaxy as we have never gone that time of year before - we were very happy to get to ride HSM many times our last trip and we'd love it again if they keep it too. When do they normally do the changeover to and from Ghost Galaxy? Anyone know?

Ghost Galaxy usually debuts at the start of HalloweenTime, in early-to-mid-September. Space usually does down the Monday before HalloweenTime starts (assuming it's starting on a Friday) to have the overlay installed (it takes 4-days). However, there usually isn't an overlay in place on Space before Ghost Galaxy is installed, so it's not known if having HyperSpace there (assuming it lasts until then) will increase, decrease, or not impact the time needed to install the Ghost Galazy overlay (technically we don't know if they're doing the Ghost Galaxy overlay this year either).

I agree - the Star Wars factor has changed a lot of things - that ride is very popular and I can imagine it would be very unpopular for them to remove the Star Wars version - until we hear it from the horses mouth I guess we'll have to wait and see!

Thanks for posting that video. That looks fun. A lot better than the Ghost Galaxy, which I think ruins the ride. Space Mountain is my favorite attraction at Disneyland proper.

My last response from DL customer service was the end date of Season of Force/Hyperspace Mountain had yet to be determined. Whether or not that's true, it couldn't hurt to email them asking to keep it through the summer at least, if not longer!

I'm with you. I've only been on Ghost Galaxy once, but that's because we only did the ride once. Normally, it's at LEAST three or four times during a trip, but once was enough!

us too...rode space lots..rode HS to excess...rode ghost once we all hated it
