Hybrid Membership: Boardwalk Plus what Direct?

Sadly it just makes too much money for them.. I personally never really understood it because for the price of a drink I'd rather binge on dole whip and food but to each their own
What about a Spikey Pineapple!? 🤣 I kid. The price really stings, especially with no Tables in Wonderland.

I’m torn on that one. If done right, it could provide an incentive to spark more life into that beautiful lobby….. and MAYBE they would make it a coffee bar in the morning….
I just don't want to see people on the ground with security guards creating a barricade like Epcot F&W :rotfl:

Poly has the "rowdiest" drinking scene on the monorail between Trader Sam's + Tiki Terrace, Tambu, and Wailulu. Hoping the new GF bar is tasteful.

If you aren't a member yet and want to buy direct first, you can get a Dream it Forward referral to save a decent chunk of change on your first contract - I think a referral is good for $500 off and it stacks with all other available incentives. If you buy resale first you won't be eligible for a referral, but will be eligible for current member incentives.

When you buy direct, you get your points later that day or worst case the next day after putting down your deposit and signing your paperwork. If you buy resale you're looking at 60 days plus to get your points. I am at 35 days since I made my offer and put down my deposit on a resale contract right now, and haven't even closed yet - so I'm looking at at least another month until I get my points.

I would buy direct first and resale second. That's what I've done and it's worked for me. Everyone is different and YMMV. Just what's worked well for me.

If you do decide to buy resale make sure you buy points that are the same use year. Make all of your points the same use year unless you really need a hobby. LOL

Halloween is the one we are trying this year. We are staying at BLT for it via a rental.

If you are renting already then you are likely good to do Resale, get your use year, then buy direct where you can match your use year and get a discount for already being a member typically.

Walt Disney World and California Adventure would be very difficult to visit if you are a recovering alcoholic. Kind of sad that you’d have to proactively avoid a themed environment specifically tailored to families and kids.

No much different if you are recovering from a gambling addiction then don’t go to Vegas. If you do anyway stay clear of the casinos and at Disneys stay clear of world showcase.

It’s not just World Showcase…. It went from “responsible adults should be able to enjoy a drink with a meal” to whatever this is that we have now….
