We are planning to stay at the Hyatt the day before we sail (in March'06).

Being that I am sure, where is the best place to book (ie on line vs. just calling)?

Is there anywhere on the net that I might be able to get a good price for the room for the night?

Everyone on this board is all-knowing.

I just booked directly with Hyatt. You could try priceline or hotwire, but it won't be a guarantee that you'll get the Hyatt.

I called Hyatt, and only had to secure the reservation with my CC. It won't be billed until you stay, however, if you end up canceling, you have to do so 24 hours before your intended stay.

The Orlando Hyatt website used to have a guaranteed lowest rate. I don't know if this is still offered, but the website would beat any published rate. They have a reservations engine on the site, so you can check the various rates offered there and compare them with what you find elsehwere, or with what you're offered if calling Hyatt's reservations number.
