Just looking for some reviews/comments and any pics you guys have on the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Just booked it for June 25th - 28th. I'm pretty excited but I don't really know what to expect.

I have stayed here twice for one night each via Priceline. It is a great place to stay and has the best pool, on par or better than Stormalong bay. I am not a fan of all the white marble in the lobby but it is still pretty. We have had nice views from fairly far up on the floors. First time we could see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from our room, though they were a bit distant. Service was always fine. I believe they have remodeled the rooms here in the last couple of years.

We stayed there for a week this past Easter and loved it. The rooms had recently been remodeled. They were clean and modern. Most of the rooms have balconies. We were able to catch fireworks from our balcony nightly. The pool complex was superb! There were several pools and hot tubs to choose from, and the beach activities were great, (and free!) We took out kayaks, played volleyball and tether ball.(sp?) There were always plenty of loung chairs, even during the busy Easter break! We never did check out the free tennis, driving range or golf, but we plan on doing so next time. We also never ate a the resort, but there are some great restaurants on property. Be prepared to spend bunches on the food, though.

Enjoy your trip!

Nice resort, and with the rates I've been seeing online, its a great value. To me, its not "what it used to be" but its still a great place to stay.

We've stayed there twice as my husband has had an annual conference at the hotel in December. It is lovely. My kids loved the pool and the two birds in the lobby (Merlot and Kula). Take the bikes for a ride around the grounds or go for a walk. Very relaxing. The rooms are spacious and a fridge is available upon request. Our first year they upgraded us to a park view so we could see the fireworks. There are often great deals on their website, and we have done the 3 for free both times. One note is that valet parking is expensive, but a nice feature. You can self-park. Have a great time!

See you on the 26th and 27th! I'll be the lone mom with the 3 blonde boys. DH is leaving early to get back to work, but I figured we might as well stay a few extra days since summer vacation has started and I have no real reason to get home. Looking to relax by the pool.

Anyone know of some good restaurants (not too expensive) close by?

There is all kinds of places to eat very close by, you can't miss them.

Yea i'm looking forward to relaxing by the pool. How are the restaurants on property? Are they all real expensive or are there some decent priced ones?

You'll be happy with this hotel. All the rooms have been remodeled. I have not been in a room there since, but have stayed in a Hyatt that looks to have similar decor (via trip advisor pictures). It does have a great pool as others have said, and a nice golf course as well if you like to golf.
