Please reassure me- I just won this hotel for $90 - are the beds comfortable? Is it upscale?

You will love it! We stayed for just one night at the beginning of December - it was our arrival day and we didn't want to use the DVC points for a weekend night, so we used Hyatt points and stayed there. We were on the concierge level, but I assume all rooms were pretty equal. Yes the bed was comfortable. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful - and huge. A great looking pool, though we didn't use it. Our room wasn't on the "right" side of the hotel for the best view, but from the windows in the hallway there was a view of Disney that stretched from the Castle to the Tower of Terror. We could even see the fireworks over the castle. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants and weren't really there long enough to do anything - but we would definitely stay there again.

Thank you for responding! Is it the one near downtown Disney? We're staying only one night for a concert in Downtown orlando but because of Superbowl all the downtown Orlando hotels were outrageously priced- so I used Priceline and picked disney, universal or downtown orlando 4-stars. Got a great deal I think!

We stayed for 1 night in October. The beds were comfortable but small - doubles not queen. We were happy with a Hotwire rate of $116, but your deal is even better. Use "self-parking" to save more money.

We loved the pools. There is an additional resort fee - I think $15 a night. We used the boats that are included in this resort fee.

Great location near Downtown Disney. :thumbsup2 See Tripadvisor for reviews and advice.

This is one of the nicer hotels near Disney, you will like it just fine.

$90? We paid three times that in 2007 . . . and thought it was great at that price! The service is terrific and the beds are great. The rooms (bathrooms, mainly) did need a bit of updating, but overall it's a great place to stay. (Just be prepared for a hike from the self-parking.)

I really don't think you can go wrong for $90. :)

Check out tripadvisor.com, I am sure there are a million reviews.

We also got this hotel $100 on priceline. I was nervous, but...
They are in the beginnings of an 18mth renovation.
We're going for 5 days in April, very sudden trip and I'm trying to save a bit..
Usually we're disney property folks at heart.
We're traveling 2 of the 5 days, so we have 3 vacation days. We'll do MK, then another park , then use the resort boats/bikes/pool ...
I think both you and I will be ok :) Let us know how your stay is!

Very nice hotel! IT's a true "deluxe" not "Disney Deluxe" Have a great stay!

We are playing soccer in Disney from Jan 16th-19th and I was able to get 6 rooms at the $90 rate. I thought that was a great rate. I just hope it to close to were we are playing.

This is dead on. If you got it for $90 bucks, you stole it in my opinion:thumbsup2

We got the same deal of $90 a night and are staying this coming weekend so as not to burn our DVC points and will be heading to SSR on Monday. That being said, I am suspicious by nature and found it odd that all of a sudden we are all getting a rate of $90. I checked Tripadviser and it seems there is major renovation going on and they drained the pools. For me, that is fine. We won't be swimming and have no problem with a bit of noise from construction. I just thought I would share what I learned in case it matters to you. I will add though, that everything I read was extremely positive!!! Have a great trip!!!

Did you call the hotel regarding the pools? They have more than one pool and I wouldn't think they would drain all of them at one time.
We stayed here two years ago on a priceline bid and loved it!!

Honestly, no, I haven't called yet ... It won't matter for us. Just threw it out there if it is something that would matter to someone else. I have always been happy with priceline too. Thanks for the advice!

Stayed there several years ago, but it was very high end. I remeber reading that two of my favorite soap opera actors spent their honeymoon there!

Stayed there years ago, but it was gorgeous!:thumbsup2 The pool alone is to die for.
