We are going to fly down the day before the cruise in November and want to stay at the Hyatt. What is the best way to book the room? Call direct, AAA or priceline. Thanks.

Flying down the day before is smart.

If you have your heart set on the Hyatt in Orlando Airport, you'll pay a premium price compared to the first class hotels near Orlando Airport. Don't use Priceline or Hotwire if you only want the Hyatt.

I would start at http://www.Hyatt.com . Look for AAA rates (if you're an AAA member), any other corporate or association discounts for which you might qualify, and any package or weekend deals.

But, when I tried this, I reached the conclusion that staying near the airport and taking a towncar directly from the hotel to the port was a much better value that staying at the Hyatt and using the DCL bus service.

We've decided on the Hyatt and want to stay in the airport - my 11 year old will get a kick out of it and we arrive at 6:30 am so want a place to crash until we leave for the cruise. I just booked through AAA this morning and got the following rate:

AAA Promo Rate- Guestroom
1 King or 2 Doubles:
Hov1 Hy 05684 134.10

I will continue to watch it since it's 7 months away but it is 10.00 less than the cheapest rate on hyatt.com.

The Hyatt has gotten really expensive. Last year when we cruised it was only $130 for the night now its around $160. If I were you I would get a quote from every place possible before you book. Like I said it is quite expensive, but I personaly think the convenience makes it worth it. We would be staying there next trip if there wasn't a convention booked that hogged up ALL the rooms! Uggghh
