Anyone stayed here? Any thoughts. How is location? Google maps shows it pretty close. Any information is appreciated Thank you.

Stayed there in July and loved it. They have a shuttle to Universal at 9am and 10am, and 5:15 and 7:30 returning. $10 cab ride to Seaworld, I think it was.

Probably a 15-20 minute walk to the entrance to Citywalk, but I didn't ever walk it, since it was July in Florida. Easily walkable if the weather isn't too bad. Even if the weather is bad, I saw plenty of people walking. It's actually across the street from the parking lot, which you can see from the hotel. There are a couple restaurants and a small market on the block, which was very convenient.

Staff was really wonderful, rooms are big, pool isn't great -- there's almost no shade at the pool.

One word to the wise, though. If you take a cab from Universal back to the hotel, specify the Hyatt Place on Caravanm Court, even though it's called Hyatt Universal. I told the cabbie "Hyatt Place Universal" and he took me to the Hyatt Place on Universal Blvd, in downtown Orlando.

Really great hotel though, especially for the price -- I only paid $100 a night. Well worth it.

Thank you for the information. We are also looking at $99/night using Hyatt stay certificates. It looks really nice on the site. We want clean and close. Pool won't be a huge deal, February and going on a cruise, but then in February we probably won't need much shade. Thanks for the taxi tip, I would hate to be going to downtown Orlando and be like :confused3 where we going?

They said something about Starbucks. Is there a Starbucks there or a coffee bar with Starbucks coffee?

There's a snack station in the lobby with sandwiches, muffins, drinks, and I assume starbucks. I'm not a coffee drinker so I cant vouch for the starbucks, but I'd assume that's what they were talking about.

The other Hyatt Place further south on Universal Blvd. is about 5 minutes south on Universal Blvd in the International Drive tourist area close to the convention center, not in Downtown Orlando.I've stayed at the Hyatt Place nearest to Universal and it's a great hotel, only negative is the small breakfast area.

We just got back from five nights at the Hyatt Place Universal and we enjoyed it very much. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. As mentioned above, breakfast time can be a bit chaotic as the area is on the small side. We ended up walking to Universal each day, which was about a 20 minute walk. We would stay there again.
