hyatt MCO or Hampton Inn and Suites Airport gateway? prior to cruise

We have never stayed at the Hyatt so its hard to compare, but we have stayed at the Gateway Hampton and it was great. Nice rooms, soundproof for being so close to the airport. 5 min shuttle ride the hotel, good pool area, nice warm breakfast, friendly staff. I would say we waited about 15 min for the shuttle but didn't have to share it with anyone. I would suggest to call for the shuttle as soon as your plane's luggage is on the carasol to limit the time you have to wait but be sure someone is outside at the spot they tell you to wait. Or if you have two pieces of luggage checked, then wait til you have at least one piece. (we only ever have one piece) You have to go down one level and then they give you a number to go stand next to. It wasn't hard at all to find just waited a while for the shuttle. A little longer than we would have liked since they told us we had to wait til we had all our luggage. We used Happy Limo from the hotel to the port the next morning so we didn't have the experiece of going back to the airport to catch DCL from Hampton, BUT we did that a few years ago when we stayed at teh Marriott Residence. It wasn't difficult at all and had no issues getting back to the airport and getting a boarding number at the airport. :0 Have a great trip!!!

You no longer get boarding number or your key at the airport. That is only done at port now.
And we are staying concierge, so we will be able to board at any time after it opens I was told :) i'm hoping the prices for the Hyatt come down a little bit before our cruise. For now, I will just keep my hampton reservation and then cancel it if I can get a decent rate at the Hyatt!

Definitely try Last Minute Travel Club. We booked the Hyatt for our upcoming Spet. 5 cruise, and with taxes & everything included it is coming in at around $150 for the night.

Using Last Minute Travel we got a room for #151 for the night of Sept. 4 (Labor Day Weekend). Certainly worth checking out.

Thanks guys! I had to sign up with them before I could even see the rates for the Orlando Airport Hyatt. I got a rate for a standard room for $146 taxes in, my only concern is it's a Standard Room, but there was nowhere to specify King Bed request, I hope we don't get put into a double bed room :)
otherwise, I think even with having to subscribe to LMT, it was cheaper than I saw elsewhere, at least we will be right in the airport now and not fooling around wasting time going on an outside shuttle so late at night.

If you are concierge you get special check in desk at port, along with a lounge, and you board before everyone else.
