Wow ! Travelzoo has Grand Cypress for $139 a night if anyone is interested. It is a beautiful resort ! Fantastic price for the Hyatt too!

Oh now you have my wheels spinning. I am still "owed" a weekend alone. Hmm. something to look into. This place has always intrigued me.

This sealed the deal for me. i've always wanted to stay here - and this is a great price. I wanted seven nights at WDW and really have my heart set on the Poly. Three nights here at $139/night and then four at the Poly - i'm able to afford it.

:goodvibes Oh, I am so glad to read your replies, Munchie and MOM... !!:goodvibes We absolutely LOVE this resort ! It is great - and the pool is the best one in the area, IMO. We are trying the Hyatt Villas this summer. They look great as well and we get full use of the Hyatt Resort as well !! Can't lose with that deal.

Thanks Theresa. :thumbsup2
We have been meaning to try out this Hyatt also.

Just curious, I see they charge $15. a night for the shuttle service, etc. which we won't need. Do they charge that even if you do not use these services?
Either way, it's still a great price. Thanks again.
We're all booked. :goodvibes

AllyBri,
yes, they charge a "resort fee" which covers unlimited use of bicycles, sailboats (only over 18yrs old), pontoon boats i think they are called, peddle type boats, tennis( I think - but I really didn't care since it was 95 degrees!). It was great to just walk down to the water, hop on a boat and go! No time limit. Their lake is huge and the grounds are gorgeous. There are hammocks down beside the water.:cloud9:

Be sure to get the Summer Splash Coupons when you check in !! They are good for food discounts at their "food court" and restaurants. Also, there are 2 slides - one for big kids and one for little. You will need a wristband first from the towel hut.
Enjoy !:cool1:

This seems like a great deal. Is this hotel close to Sea World? Can anyone explain travel zoo? Is it a bidding site? Thank-you.

I spent 3 nights at this resort last week. It is beautiful! Just beautiful! In addition to the water sports mentioned above, the par 3 golf was included in the resort fee. (Not the "real golf" the mini-golf course.)

Quick fyi:
The smaller pool was heated to 79 degrees. Warm, but not too warm.
The larger pool was not heated. Water temp was 68. A bit cool for this northerner, but there were some people in it.

Travelzoo.com is just a website that shows sales going on and links to other sites. They have some of their own deals with resorts, like Hyatt. I believe you can also get the $139 price from the Hyatt website (look under "specials" or something along those lines) or go through Travel zoo link.

Grand Cypress is pretty close to I-4 by Downtown Disney. it is a quick and easy 'hop, skip and a jump' up the highway to Seaworld. It is a fabulous place and for the price it is a steal of a deal!!
