I booked our room at the Hyatt for our April 27 Fantasy cruise 2 months ago for $246. I check it every week to see if the price has gone down & it has mostly stayed in that range. This week it more than doubled to $522! I think it pays to book early & keep watching it-some cruises it’s all over the board, pricewise.

Anyone else fanatical about checking hotel & flight prices? Actually, it’s satisfying knowing you’ve found the best deal possible for your cruise dates, & also fun checking it often. Anticipation & planning are almost the best part of travel(almost)!

It's only an hours drive to the Daytona 500 so that could be a factor and also President's Day weekend. Not sure what else is going on in the area.

EDIT: Just saw where all Disney Springs parking was full and closed last night.

Friend, I have a spreadsheet for Treasure opening day prices since the inaugural dates were first announced, going through summer of 2026, vs the current price to book. :)

We are paying $366 for the mco Hyatt on April 4th, normally under 300.00. I see it is now over 500.00. Ridiculous but I’m paying for the convenience.

The OP is talking about dates in late April…

Make sure it's for the same exact room type (standard, pool view, whatever type of view is applicable to that particular hotel, etc) down to the type of beds (queen vs king for example) that you are comparing as well as if your original room had any discounts applied (like Hyatt member rate, AAA rate, etc).

As far as checking hotel rates no we don't do that after we have booked, we may switch hotels depending on the situation but we don't continue to check the rates of the existing hotel.

As far as flights I only recheck if I've booked SWA. Otherwise no I don't.
