Husbands are bad planners

planning is half the fun ...

and it does pay off once you're there, especially in the smiles of the kids getting the whole Disnet experience!

Plan away!:wave2:

My husband is a definet planner.. He is even an 'over" planner.. LOL.. we have all of our PS done.. of course *I* was the one that had to awake at 7 in the morning to make a few of the calls. He would be the one laying there poking me saying " Go get the phone.. Make the call"... LOL..

My Father-In-Law on the other hand thinks we are insane for making PS for our MG in July.. as he likes to tell me " I have NEVER made a priority seating for my meals.. and we have always been fine".. LOl

I'd think that in September you'd have little problem with just walking up. Except for maybe the Sci Fi at MGM on a rainy day.

My DH thinks I'm crazy for looking at menus and trying to decide where we're going to eat, but he just laughs at me and goes on his way. He said he doesn't care where or when we eat, or even how much it costs, just so we get to eat and the kids are happy.

Maybe he's remembering our honeymoon at WDW when we didn't even know about PS or WDW planning, and we didn't get to eat anyplace good....

Steph--determined to plan this trip without DH help, only his wallet

This is what happens without PS:
We had a 7pm PS for Marrakesh on a very unbusy day in Epcot. We worried that after surveying the menu posted outside that there would be nothing for our DD to eat so we decided to make our way to Rose and Crown. We arrived at 7:15 and had to wait outside for 45 minutes. The restaurant was packed with people waiting to see wishes. The waiter was lovely but completly harried. The food came at 8:45 after a 45 minute wait. It would have been okay if we had ordered hot food but it was grapes and cheese! Very nice cheese but probably not requiring 45 minutes to prepare! If your child is used to eating on the nose at 7pm, do you think she will want to eat at 8:45 or enjoy the wait? Likely not. Now I admit that we whould have taken her back to AKL and just bought her some grapes and cheeses at the Mara - live and learn - however, I would say make those PS arrangements. You can always cancel if you wish!
