Have you been in any of the series of hurricanes?? I've been in Charley when I was at Disney.

Oh yeah, for the people that were at Disney during Frances, how many days did they close the parks for??

I`m in PA, so we didn`t get hit bad, but there was flooding from Francis and Ivan

We got the remnants of Bonnie, Charley, Frances, and Jeanne is hitting us at the moment. At least at home they are lol I was only home on Cape Cod in Massachusetts for Bonnie and then I flew out on the day of Charley. Jeanne is in the process of hitting home.

Jeanne just hit here yesterday. Not nearly as bad as Florida, but there was heavy rain, some flooding, and high winds. A very small tornado hit a town not too far from me. Tornadoes very rarely happen here in NJ, and when they do occur, they're just little ones that do little damage. That's as bad as weather can get (without a blizzard) in NJ.

I was staying in WDW in 1992 with my family when hurricane Andrew came around. I was pretty young (8) but remember it pretty well. The hurricane didn't really make its way up to Orlando, but tons and tons of people from Dade county (where Andrew hit the hardest) came up to Disney.

I remember getting the paper in the morning that was left in front of our hotel room, and the title said "go home Andrew!" I threw a fit and got upset because my name is Andrew. (My parents thought it was hilarious, I didn't find it too funny at the time.) I also remember my dad giving me money to go buy a florida liscense plate for the back of my bike that had Andrew spelled on it, and the cashier at Downtown Disney gave me a hard time. I guess you don't have as good of a sense of humor when you're 8.
