just thought i'd check out the natianl hurricane centre and found this advisory!

POTENTIAL TO BECOME A TROPICAL DEPRESSION
OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS IT MOVES GENERALLY WESTWARD AT
ABOUT 15 MPH.

Well I must admit the thought of a hurricane while I am there sounds very thrilling, especially if the return flight is delayed !!

i was there when hurricane frances hit in 2004, we was due to fly home on sat dinner time with thomson. with airport closures we returned on the following thursday with only 2 days of rain on sat and sunday.
tip always take extra hurricane emergency food money. thomson was excellant and left us answer machine message to say room booked till thursday. plus we flew back with french airline 747 plane free food and drink on way back.

but i must say in all this i am very sorry for the residents of orlando has we did see some very bad damage to buisnesses, homes and cars. our rental car had 3 windows missing on return..

What do they expect from a storm called Bertha?? It was bound to end up with the prefix 'Big' at some point!
