Hurricane Ivan

Is anyone planning a trip in the next couple of days? Anyone concerned about Ivan?

We are scheduled the end of this week. I am too concerned about Ivan. I think we'll just keep an eye out and if we need to cancel...we will I think Disney feel it would be a threat that they would be liberal again with cancellations such as with Frances.

We are just going for a quick trip 9/9-9/12...nothing on the website yet about any pending cancellations-park closings! We are watching and waiting too. Probably make our final decision on Thursday!

Looks like Ivan will miss most of FLorida, if not all. It's tracking very far south, so you all should have some great Disney days!

I am also supposed to leave on Saturday. I am so nervous that we wont be able to go. I can't even change my airline tickets without penently unless my flight is canceled. I haven't even packed yet because I am worried about Ivan. I feel for everyone who lives if Florida because I don't think I could go through one Hurricane much less 3.

I've been watching the weather channel all weekend...but it seems like they still don't have a great idea of the path Ivan will take or the time table for it's arrival. I hope Mrsltg is right and it just misses Florida completely. Those poor people have lived through enough this month.

We're scheduled to arrive in WDW on Sunday morning, so we've been watching Ivan closely. The latest models show it tracking a little further west than the models from this past weekend were showing, and thus less likely to hit Florida. The current models put it at the northwestern part of Cuba on Sunday morning. Of course, all of the forecasters are quick to say that they cannot accurately predict this far in advance.
