Yes, it was.Was it a weather related anytime?

Ok, let me clarify. It was either weather related or it was because the ride we had it for was down (BTMRR), either way I looked at the list and only M&M were excludedInteresting. I’ve never had one like that.
I may be wrong, but I doubt it. They made the announcement early to allow airlines enough time to make changes to their logistics systems to move planes and flight crews out of the area. My guess is the airlines have changed things accordingly. I doubt they can just pivot things on short notice if MCO says "nevermind!"I bet MCO might reverse and not close on Monday once this evenings forecast update comes out
They are still predicting tropical storm force winds in Orlando the next few days, so they would just have to close again. Also, now that they announced the closure, who is going to use the airport? Anyone flying in on Monday most likely already changed their plans, and airlines, also, probably canceled their flights. They could decide to stay open, but they would have no business.I may be wrong, but I doubt it. I saw that, also. If I were in Orlando, or any where in Florida, really, I'd assume I'm getting hit by some pretty nasty weather in the coming week. This thing is proving to be extremely unpredictable. I would only trust the 48 hour forecast right now. Any predictions further out can and will change. Some are saying the new track is showing it heading more west again up the state and not up the coast

They’re just models that have been run recently. Two to three different models have shown it possibly coming closer to land and moving north.Who’s some? Literally every recent track that’s come out and news org I’m watching in florida has it even more east then before. Even the 2pm model has it off coast
Hopefully it keeps going east

Yep. They said it would be $360 extra but because of the situation they took care of it for me. I was shocked, already had my credit card out and ready to go. I usually have bad luck, so this was a really amazing bit of good luck.the hotel was on them????
It's a difficult decision. We made our decision to cancel yesterday morning. MCO validated the decision by announcing their closing a few hours before our plane was scheduled to land. In the long run, I'm glad we made the decision we did as the stress over it was ruining the vacation. I'm sad we're not going, but at least I'm content with our decision. The problem with knowing so late is we might not be able to leave
We are deciding by tonight if we’ll be going to Orlando tomorrow through Thursday

We’re still in that 1-3 day cone and I honestly think we’ll stay in it. None of our neighbors have left so I’m still wondering if we should just stick it out.At this point the only source you should trust in terms of track updates is the National Hurricane Center. Also please keep in mind that the track is merely a forecast. The cone shows all possible places that the eye could make landfall. It has changed dramatically in the past 24 hours and could do so again in the next 24.
Still waiting to decide if we're going to fly in on Wednesday (if the airport is even open). Think the final decision will be late Monday. I can always push it up to the next week but I picked this week because of the crowds. Maybe the week of the 11th will be good for crowds, too. Best case is I just end up coming in on September 9th for a few nights.
