Yup. I'm making this thread to give myself a pat on the back. Why? Because I'm telling my friend to shove it. For years now he's been trying to get me into airsoft, and I've been telling myself I want to. Well recently my family has come under hard times, and we don't exactly have a lot of money. He doesn't understand this however. He doesn't get the concept of being broke, so he's still trying to get me to spend hundreds of nonexistant dollars on something that to be honest with you, I don't really want.
Whenever I show him something that's relatively cheap, and can get the job done until I can afford something better, he's a jerk about it and insults me. He's constantly trying to sell a Mercedes to a homeless man, and no matter how many times I try to tell him that it's not going to work, he just continues to act like he knows all.
So. I'm saying forget it. I'm not spending ANY money twards a two year hobby that I don't really want to get into in the first place. If he's just going to constantly be a jerk about everything, screw him. I don't have the kind of cash he wants me to spend, and even if I did, there are other things I'd rather spend it on...like my car for instance when I get it. An Xbox....rollerblades. I'm also moving out in two years and living on my own, and that's NOT going to be cheap. It'd be a better idea to save up what I can get than to spend it on something I don't want.
So yeah. Go me.
