Huntington, WV emergency trip.. any info?

My mother in law and her boyfriend were in a motorcycle accident Sunday in KY. She was transferred to St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. She is okay but in bad shape and having surgery on her back Wedn or Thurs this week. DH and SIL are going down there before the surgery and then be there probably a couple days and bring her home. He called some for hotels yesterday but it was hard not knowing the area. I thought I'd see if anyone is from the area, they did find a hotel in OH he said would be close, to recommend anything. They're focus is CHEAP as we all live pay to pay and this is certainly not something planned that any of us can really afford. Of course we don't care about that but we do want to keep it cheap as possible.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

I'm not much help re: hotel location, but check with the Hospital. Sometimes they have a list of are hotels and some of the hotels offer discounts for families of patients...Good luck!

Yes, there is a hospitality house available for a very reduced rate close to St. Mary's. Let them know at the nurse's desk and they can notifiy social work to help you obtain a room.

Oh wonderful!! I never thought of that. I told him to ask the hotels but the hospital never crossed my mind. I knew you guys would help!!!!
