Southern California Huntington Beach

I am wondering if it's going to be crazy pricey for a cab to Huntington Beach from the tropicana hotel in Anaheim. Is it about 30-45 minutes?
We are thinking of going on one of our non park days. Kids love the ocean and i love reading, so it seems to fit nicely together LOL

Yes! Cabs are very expensive that distance and back. You can take a long bus ride down Beach Blvd. to the main beach area, but you still need to get to the bus stop from Disney. Rent a car!

No we aren't renting a car, I don't want my husband driving here let alone in LA

I used to live out there and I totally agree. If you are just going to HB, you won't need to navigate any freeways. You can take Beach Blvd. I think a bus ride would be miserable on that route.

We rented a car for the day to drive over to Seal Beach then down the coast, stopped and shopped/dined at Huntington then drove all the way down to Dana's point. It was well worth it. We did not have to be on any major freeways and was able to easily navigate traffic. I highly recommend the drive down the Pacific highway, the views were absolutely breathtaking.

Rent the car! Getting to HB is easy, and involves no freeways. Tales of SoCal traffic are greatly dramatized, you'll be fine.

Parking in HB is easy and convenient, there's several lots and a parking structure. Just be courteous and don't park in front of private homes.

I would rent a car too. That drive is easy and not intimidating at all. Plus then you will have the freedom to see a little more coast if you choose to.
